I just sat down at a 1-2 NL HE at Caesar's, listen to this....first I double up on pp K's. Two hands later, I have AH,2H flop comes 3H JS 8H. I call all the way to the river and get the heart. 2 People go all in ahead of me and I obviously call. One guy has the queen of hearts the other guy has the king!!! :laugh: :laugh:

That has NEVER happened to me......the were soooo pissed :laugh:

No min buy in, just come and go as long as you have the blinds....although there was a line and pot sizes averaged about $40-$50. I came to the table with $100 and left with $505 😀 (after tipping)

btw, I am not that good at poker and felt extremely lucky to win today....the cards could not have fallen any better, and I left early (played for about 45 min) because I knew this was just luck :laugh:

How did 100 stack up as a buyin? Was it average or was there no max amount you could set down with?

Yea, $100 was almost exactly the average buy in from what I saw. I couple of people busted and bought right back in with another fresh Benjamin.

i would not advise anyone to do what I am currently in the middle of to be honest with you its a really intense course which entails labwork, research papers and board exams at the end on about 7 mths

mushy if however you are interested in the content of the courses I'll give you a more detailed description just Pm me ok? Note I would only be able to speak about the subjects I take physics, chem and bio. the others like history, lit,, spanish, geo, POA, econ etc I know nothing.

or maybe it just seems that way because you finally get accustomed to the days without sleep and can function just fine on 4 hrs of sleep.. and lots of coffee

Congrats to Mushy and ironman on their respective achievements!

PW, I sympathize for you!!!

On a slightly related topic, does anyone know of a good website to go to for getting ideas for haircuts? I don't know how short I want to go but I do think I want to get at least something lopped off before I start school.

or simply because you are dedicated to the task at hand and would do anything to get into med school... although caffine and sugar does help
