Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere's the thread!

Not sure what the Random thread is all about? Well, here's the answer to all your questions.

It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

Congratulations to everyone who made Part 4 such a kickass thread!!!

And thank you to the ever generous, intelligent, lovely, and kind Nichole, who let me start the thread even though she won the last one. 🙂

When you hit your 4 year dating mark, people start to ask questions.

My mom and dad got married when she was 19 and he was 28. They dated 6 months before he proposed and married after a year together. 32 years later and going strong.

My husband proposed after we'd been together over a year. We'll celebrate our first wedding anniversary around Thanksgiving 🙂

Hey Q!!!! I was just going to tell you to get your tail over here!

I am avoiding my houseguests. (Yes, I am evil.)
There is a simple solution to that, Molly. Never invite anyone over. That's what I do; it works like a charm. 😛

Just got done watching the 3rd season of 24 (season 2 was the best I thought) and I watched the 4th season teaser. It looks like crap 🙁

I am about to go catchup on the fourth and fifth season so I can be ready for the new one. Wooohoo.

Guju, it just goes to show you that the world can learn a lot from lunatics like us. 😉 How've you been doing? You getting ready to start classes?

Yeah but first they need to let me register for the classes I need. I need to get some permits ASAP since I wasn't in Tampa to be able to deal with it this past week. My stupid control freak parents wasted my whole week last week. I'm glad I'm away from them. i can only deal with them on short short short periods of time.

Anyone had Strongbow in the cans? I haven't tried it yet since I can get it on tap a block away, but I don't think there's anywhere in Hyde Park that has it, and I'm going to need my fix somehow!

Hey Molly - there's a Binny's liquor store in Hyde Park and they carry Strongbow cans in 4-packs:

Sorry. 🙁 Did your classes start last week already? Wow, that came up quick. Anyway, try to forgive your parents. They mean well, and you'll miss them when they aren't around to harrass you any more. 😛

No they start this week.

Watching The Insider on video.......so boring 😴 😴

Peapod sounds cool. The Hyde Park Co-op has a peapod-like program, too.

The store isn't that far away from my apartment, but still. 🙂
God, that's lazy (and expensive!). Molly, you will totally have time to go shopping while you're in med school. I'd wait to use something like peapod until after you start earning an income.

They don't deliver where I live - but I always see their commercials on tv. plus, my husband's nickname for me is Peapod 😉

We're both non-travellers so we were thinking about going somewhere foreign or exotic. Maybe Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas where it is all inclusive and just kick back and relax.

ooo I was in Atlantis a few years ago on a large family vacation. It was great place to vacation (lots to do and beautiful facilities), but it's very Americanized and doesn't feel all that foreign. If you do go, be very careful of the water sports run by the locals - they tend to be very poorly run. I had one of the most traumatic experiences there as I saw a little boy loose his arm from drifting while snorkeling near a parasailing boat 🙁 The boy lived, but I will never forget how gruesome the scene was.

If you want something more exotic I would go to Mexico (preferably the Riveria Maya) You feel a little bit less safe, but I was in Akumal last summer and we only met 1 other english speaking couple at our resort (besides some broken English from the managers) Plus the unlimited Corona, DosXX, and Tequilla.....it was awesome!😀 Mexico just really gave me that feeling like I was somewhere foreign, although they may be a bad thing 😱

Also, the great thing about the Bahamas/Mexico is that you can get that feeling of being in another world, but it's easy on the wallet (compared to Europe or somewhere overseas)
