Not sure what the Random thread is all about? Well, here's the answer to all your questions.

It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

Seasonale. But you can do the same thing with any monophasic pill.

Blast you beat me to it! I use a monopahasic pill for this particular reason. Just switched from the ring to the pill, and OMG. What a DIFFERENCE in me. I never realized how much hormones can play with your body and how your BC's can wreak havoc if it doesn't work with your body!

Not actually that odd or unnatural when you consider the fact that women are designed to be either pregnant or nursing for the vast majority of their reproductive years. That would result in far fewer periods than we experience now with the invention of effective birth control methods.

So hubby comes home this morning He has to work tomorrow night though and he slept ALL day yesterday.

I am meeting with my med school professor I'm working with today. What the hell should I call her? She's not really my PI bc i don't do bench research with her alot, I don't know ... anywho we're working on submitting an NIH grant. I'm sure THIS will be fun.

Then I have class and I have to load up firewood and cut the grass (hopefully hubby will take care of this) and pick up the MIL at the airport tonight.

And study.

Always studying.

Not doing enough of it right now but time is so jagged. I have to be productive every day or I feel wasted.

Funny story:

So I've always flirted with growing a beard but I'd never gone whole hog. I mean, I've had the goatee and that was cool, but how many guys grow the whole thing? So this summer I decided to let the whole thing grow out...turns out that for some reason, my beard is rust red.

Anyway, I actually liked it alot but I shaved it off once I started training for my marathon. Too much to deal with being hot and having a beard. However, right before I completely got rid of the facial hair, I did what I always wanted to do: I shaved it all off but for the "Biker" handlebar mustache. 😀 Of course, I had to meet with my research PI the next day like that, and he just kept giving me these weird looks. The coup de gras was when one of my classmates referred to the departed biker 'stache as my "porn 'stache."
