Welcome to Part 6! Everyone did a bang up job by hitting 10k in less than 12 days--11 days 19 hours and 18 minutes to be exact. A new record! 😀

For those not familiar with what we do here, Molly has been kind enough to put together a nice description.

It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

One time I was studying orgo the night before the morning exam (that's when I start). I accidently fell asleep at 11:30PM, but woke up at 1AM and started freaking out. Then I said f it and went back to sleep. :laugh: I fell asleep mostly when I was reviewing so it wasn't a total loss. That was the ONLY time I've ever fallen asleep while studying.

this happened to me so often in the first 2 years of med school it was crazy :laugh:

I was reading up on some DIY threads on another forum. Some dude and his dad added 2k sq ft to their house. Another pretty much finished up an E46 M3 motor swap into an E30 325.

I hate morning exams so much...I was thankful that nearly the rest of my classes were so large, we had night exams. Orgo and Bio were the only 1 hour in-class exams we had (2 hour exams were at night). I liked night exams because I'd wake up at 8AM, skip classes, and study the entire day. That was it. Perfect.

yeah, i remember those afternoon/evening classes in undergrad - i loved those! all my exams in med school have started around 9AM though, its standard across the curriculum.

Well there were 3 kittens outside my house last night when I got home. Gave them some food. I had seen them all around a few months ago but then they disappeared. So last night I gave them some food. They ate and ate and ate. 3 cans of friskies and some dry food too!

So tonight I gave them two cans of food. They are cute cats but def scared of humans. An older black kitten (probably about 8mns) and 2 black and white (probably 4-5 mns). I'm just afraid the black cat might be katnapped for cult rituals or something. (Yes apparently it happens alot in OK from talking to the feline rescue where I got my cats 🙁 ) So I'm trying to keep an eye out on it at least until halloween. I might try to find out if someone owns the cats. I don't think so but you never know. There are a few feral colonies that live under a bridge by my house so maybe they wandered over here and are stuck in the caul-de-sac.

I'm still amazed at how cats can live so independently. There were A LOT at this community college I took some classes at. You don't see many dogs doing the same, lol.

I got super cheap cereal today: two boxes for $3. And they were name brand ones too. I got lucky; the store was running a sale, AND I had a coupon. 🙂

nah, this is just a presentation to the family med coordinators and the other 20 students in the clerkship. if we wanted to work on projects in our free time to publish we could but its just a lot to fit in with everything you have going on. totally doable though, just not for me.

yeah will, this is a powerpoint one for example. 20 minutes, 7 components, 10 minutes of questions afterwards:

1. pt presentation - hx, pe, labs
2. detailed A&P
3. genogram (done)
4. circle of influence (done)
5. topic presentation
6. review of research article
7. pt education and community resources

Yea, but I did use it in high school! I guess I was born late enough where we had real computers in classrooms along with projectors in the ceilings. muwahahah :laugh:

Btw, I don't feel like a hospital CEO, more like GE's Jack Welch.
