Welcome to Part 6! Everyone did a bang up job by hitting 10k in less than 12 days--11 days 19 hours and 18 minutes to be exact. A new record! 😀

For those not familiar with what we do here, Molly has been kind enough to put together a nice description.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

I skipped the weekly Friday breakfast meeting b/c I couldn't bear to sit with my coworkers this morning. Then I wound up working through lunch. It's now 5:08pm and all I've eaten all day is 2 sugar cookies with blue crystals on them that turned my tongue blue.

Someone remind me to never do this again. Thank you.

I lost all my emails for the past 3 years (some are EXTREMELY important) as well as I lost all my outlook contents include names/addresses/phone numbers/email addresses.

I'm so ****ed its not even funny and I'm highly pissed.

I probably won't be on SDN much for awhile so just letting you guys know why i've disappear. Laptop is on life support right now and barely functional. 🙁

Still trying to work out the Oct. details. My friend I want to go with is the same one with the adrenal tumor - she's been hard to contact lately!

And that's fine on Oct. I think I only picked up one Sat shift, and that's the 28th. All the other stuff is Fri night or Sun eve, so shouldn't interfere with some nice haunted housing.

So I was watching Mystery Diagnosis on discovery health (yeah I'm sad, I know) and I TOTALLY called the diagnosis 2 minutes into the segment. Even my dad was like, "What the hell!? How did you know that?"

It's so sad that I got totally geeked out about figuring out a diagnosis; to me the diagnostic process is the best part of medicine.

(It was PCOS for anyone who is interested)

thanks for the congrats, all! I thought I had done fairly well, but I was totally in shock! I'm just excited to have some cushion built into the grade just in case I have a test that doens't go as well.

Ana- do I see pathology in your future? :meanie:

I shadowed an IM hospitalist a couple days. He had ~25 patients to round on for the day. I dunno if he was just really good at it or what but he made it look really simple. Mostly chronic things he was managing.

Hello randomites!

Congrats on the orgo grade JLW and mushy and finishing the interview oxeye!

My folks are here now and things are fine. But I am banished to my bedroom since they are in bed. :meanie: Stealing a neighbor's wi-fi, which is sub-optimal, to say the least! But just wanted to say hi and have a great weekend!
