Welcome to Part 6! Everyone did a bang up job by hitting 10k in less than 12 days--11 days 19 hours and 18 minutes to be exact. A new record! 😀

For those not familiar with what we do here, Molly has been kind enough to put together a nice description.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

Talladega is my FAVORITE track. 😍 I may have to watch the ARCA race to see Montoya. He's been getting a lot of attention in mainstream NASCAR press!

Yea, Hornish was testing there in the 7-11 car or whatever green thing he drives. Can't say I care much about IRL, though. NASCAR I can stand because the cars don't always freak out and flip when they literally go wheel to wheel. Plus, there are barely any cars left in IRL. Always looks like an empty track at pratice.

He is by far my favorite driver. He's won the CART championship and Indy 500 (before CART split into IRL and ChampCar). Won nearly 10 F1 races, which is hard enough to do in ****ty cars especially when the Ferraris and Michael Schumacher have the best equipment. Maybe he will join Mario Andretti as the only people to win the Indy 500, Monaco GP, and Daytona 500. 😀

We shall see.

Well, he didn't win the championship last year. Only won 1 race because 14 cars pulled out of the USGP. He only raced the Jordans and Minardis.

This year Fernando Alonso is still in the lead by a couple of points (literally). Words has it that Ferrari wanted Michael out because Kimi's contract was free and they want the next superstar driver. If they didn't sign him now, they'd be without a star driver for a few years. Michael didn't look too happy after the Monza race he won. Him and Ferrari's CEO (Luca) were kinda avoiding eachother.

He's so filthy rich though he probably doesn't even care.

Heres a thought to ponder: After driving an F1 car on some of the toughest tracks, how boring do you think normal driving is to them?

At least he donates a lot of money every year. He doesn't like to let people know, but he did donate $10mm to that Tsunami fund.

How boring are regular cars for him? I wonder how bored he's gotten with F1 cars, lol! What is it now, 250 starts or something like that when he's done?

Night Will and BB! I'm taking my own advice and going to bed. Tomorrow is going to be a BUSY DAY and that's assuming nothing happens in the lab that sucks up hours of my time. I can get 4 hours of sleep if I go right now. That'll do.

ok, we're not in the same class. We live about 300 miles away (jlw in St. louis, me in Northern Illinois), but close enough to meet up every now and then. We just happen to both be taking Orgo I while jlw is taking Physics II and I'm in Physics I. Coincidentally we have had exams around the same days.

I saw on the forecast that it is supposed to be cloudy all day, was thinking I might wear my glasses (no need for sunglasses and not much scope work), but then glanced outside and was blinded by the sun. :laugh:

Last night what did mushy do? Lose all her work from the past few days. Well at least for the grant file. SO I have to type it all over again. 😎 I wanted to proof it anyways 🙄

again, thanks everyone for the birthday wishes! mush- loving the smilies!

the body decided that it wanted to be up at 7-freaking-15 this morning, after having gone to bed at 2. clearly it's developing oppositional defiant disorder, as the mind told it I could sleep in as late as I wanted today.

but a friend just volunteered to be my DD tonight 😀 (is there irony in the fact that at 8:30am tomorrow, I have to go to a continuing ed seminar on the treatment of alcohol and drug abuse and I could be hung over?)

it's not coincidence. it's that we're soooooooooo important that our professors were willing to consult with each other and arrange the exam dates to meet our scheduling needs. c'mon megboo. tell the truth.

What would be the best is if you were still drunk from the night before. Been there, done that. 😳

(Not at a alcohol abuse seminar though. 😉 )

If they sent out the envelope today, I could get it tomorrow or Friday. If they send it out tomorrow, I could get it Friday or Saturday. :scared:

well I invited all of you to dinner, but no one wants to come 🙁

actual plans: bum around this morning, head to the mall and spend some hard-earned cash, go get my hur did so it looks supercute, have dinner with whichever of my friends/coworkers can make it tonight at this cool microbrewery/restaurant.
