Welcome to Part 6! Everyone did a bang up job by hitting 10k in less than 12 days--11 days 19 hours and 18 minutes to be exact. A new record! 😀

For those not familiar with what we do here, Molly has been kind enough to put together a nice description.

It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

Rising too fast from 2+ atmospheres below sea level leaves too much Nitrogen in the blood stream = nitro narcosis = the bends. That's all I remember for now.

That sounds so fabulous. I am SO tired. I should have gone home to take a nap and just come back for conference. Today is a nap day if there ever was one.

I guess I still could go home. Conference is 3 hours from now.

I just bought a month of Kaplan QBank for Step 3. I used it for the first 2 and thought it was pretty good.

Hopefully doing questions will be more active and get me out of my comatose state. I feel like I am in med school again. 😳

It's already a good day: I ran a personal best of 8 miles today. 😀

Sadly, I must now attempt to put together a poster (not a big deal) for some summer research that really was poorly thought out by the PI. No fun. Oh well...

Ah, young grasshopper, you have much to learn:

1) "First Aid" is a review book. No questions.
2) "USMLE World" and "Q-bank" are question with explanations.

And yes, I did. I'll give you a call back later if that's okay? 🙂

Dude, I haven't even learned it all the first time. There's a reason why it's called REVIEW. 😛 Seriously, if I tried to do board questions right now, I'd freak out for sure. Have you tried looking for posts about it in the USMLE forum or customer ratings on Amazon? That's what I've been doing to get reviews on various books.

I know about Q-bank. I still teach for Kaplan, you know. 🙂

Ok, I may be home late tonight, but just call whenever and I'll call back when I get in.

:clap: That means you only have one more to eat today! WTG! Studying is literally giving me a headache. It is only 3:45 and I am ready for dinner. Sushi and salad for lunch held me through 2 classes...but I am famished now. I can't take anymore of this stupid homework right now. I am outta here...until I return for more. There is ALWAYS more.

i've been holding off on the borders, but i'll hit it up sometime this week.

i don't like any of the restaurants in crossgates... at least there's the cheesecake factory in colonie

yeah i have to admit, i can go a few days without thinking about the mcat which is weird b\c i spent every waking hour studying for it the previous 3 months

Ok, waiting for the study group peeps. All I have to say is that it is a bunch of freshmen who don't know the upside of their backside. These people have to be spoonfed everything. I must have gotten a hundred emails asking for more info on this or that...DUDE! WE ARE MEETING AT THE LIBRARY @ 5 TO STUDY! What more do you need to know? I don't know how long we will be there. If you have EVER been to a study group...you should know this. If you need to leave...then LEAVE. If you can't get here until 6:30...if we are here...great. If not...deal.

Ugh.

My lips are chapped. And me...without Chapstick. Ugh. Not good. But, if these peeps don't show up...I am outta here and then I can have all the Chapstick I can handle!! :laugh:
