Welcome to Part 6! Everyone did a bang up job by hitting 10k in less than 12 days--11 days 19 hours and 18 minutes to be exact. A new record! 😀

For those not familiar with what we do here, Molly has been kind enough to put together a nice description.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

I gotta figure out the orange things. Its from my doggie 😳 But only ONE of them. The other is on the other half of the plate.

And cats have like NOTHING. Found some great articles about oral microbiota in dogs but I'm limited in my media. I can maybe test for strep but that's about it. No blood agar.

I CANNOT WAIT until I have an office couch.

I need somewhere I can take a nap in a private place on campus without going home. It was highly enjoyable but I was stressed the whole time about getting paged.

I used to have this brown pleather thing that I thought was completely ugly, but it came with the office. So I spruced it up with all of these cool microsuede pillows for color?

So in May, one of my colleagues comes over and says "I'll trade you! I think yours would look better in my office." Now I have an overstuffed couch with a microsuede forest green slipcover. And my pillows still match! 😀

(god this one is so much more comfy. and WARMER. ugh- I'd lay down on the pleather and shiver.)

Ok all this research the past 2 hrs on my micro project and I need sleep. I have no idea what those orange colonies could be. I might post on the vet forum if there are an vet micro websites I could check out. I'm excited about this project. I'm going to add my hubbys and my oral swab this weekend. So I'll have 2 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 human bacteria to compare. Pretty cool project if ya ask me.

you learn that stuff so you can be witty at parties when you feel like you need to impress someone with your 'knowledge'

i for one love communications classes and history classes. science i despise.

yet i want to be a doctor. go figure.

how's everyone doing today?

so i decided i'm going to try out for the bhangra team at MIT. i took classes with them over the summer, and then went to an open class last night. they said the team is open to non-MIT students as well, so i'm going for it. what do i have to lose? 😛
