Welcome to Part 6! Everyone did a bang up job by hitting 10k in less than 12 days--11 days 19 hours and 18 minutes to be exact. A new record! 😀

For those not familiar with what we do here, Molly has been kind enough to put together a nice description.

Not sure what the Random thread is all about? Well, here's the answer to all your questions.

It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

We've been through highs and lows in Part 5. From the final matches of Andre Agassi's career to the loss of the World's friend, Mr. Steve Irwin. May he rest in piece.

With all that said, let the green flag wave! Boogity Boogity Boogity!!!

Cool, I've never tried it before. Same with White Castle, but I could buy them from the frozen food section (I hear it's not as good as fresh). What are some other burger chains that have like cult followers?

Whenever my step bros come and visit here they makes sure to eat in White Castle....never fails.... to me WC is just ok.

OMG - I totally know what you mean. I HATE Ochem lab now. I'm seriously trying to figure out just how much more time I'm going to need to spend there before I'm done. I never do this because I usually love my classes but I hate every second I'm in the lab 😡
Hey, the only good thing about my lab - if I get accepted this semester my grade doesn't matter as long as I pass right? The lowest grade they give is a C - as long as you show up and attempt the labs.

I took 4 yrs of Spanish in high-school (plus 2 sem Japanese in college).....I was pretty good in Spanish too but no one to practice with 🙁

I took 1/3 a semester of Spanish in middle school (in a class called "wheel"). You get a new classes every trimester so like LMS would be one, Drama next, finally Spanish...

I took 3 years German and 3 years Japanese in high school. German is so easy to learn, it's just like English. One day I had English, German, and Japaneses exams on the same day in back to back to back periods. LOL!!!

I really think I can pick it up again if I stay in a Spanish speaking country for 3months.

I know someone who went to Japan for his junior year of high school through Rotary club and learned all of it there.

He roomed with a rich family and the daughter that liked him now does porn! 😱

My ochem lab (albeit this is also at a community college) actually has the prof teaching it which I love. We have plenty of time to get stuff done so I really feel for your guys with crap labs 🙁 I can see how organice chem might be a little more challenging for 4 yr universities but I think it depends on the teacher. My prof really takes the time to make sure we understand concepts and then how to apply them. So far my only compliant is he rambles.

*waves to everyon*

A - hows life going fo ryou ?
I didn't even think about taking it at the JC here. I totally should have done that!!

I went to a JC first before transferring to a 4 year when I was an undergrad. Most of the instructors at the JC were much nicer and more willing to help - and no TAs even for labs! I loved that. My TA seems very nice, but she's as clueless as the students most of the time. It's extremely frustrating!

Sort of like American English to Canadian English and then to the Queen's English? 😛 j/k!

LOL, not exactly. That's sorta like Mexican Spanish vs. South American Spanish vs. Spanish Spanish.

Spanish, Italian, Portugese = romance languages 😍

omg!!!

I thought the hardest about Japanese was writing the Chinese characters but the Hiragana and Katakana wasn't so bad. Again I forgot everything except to say "watashiwa wakarimasen de****a" --- "i did not understand"

I like Spanish Spanish....with all the "vosotros" stuff....but my teacher was Chilean and didn't teach us that 😡

I was just thinking, Japanese can't be because they have problems with pronouncing R and L. Our Japanese teacher had the hardest time with 3 students in our class: Carl, Carol, and Karla. LMFAO!!! You should've seen this!!! I like the way the r in "romantico" is pronounced. Something most Japanese would be terrible at.

Our Japanese professor in college was a Jesuit Priest (white guy) who lived in Japan for years......and he was preaching to us about Zen which was really odd, him being a priest and all.

I didn't know what this is so I had to look it up. I thought it was like Vladimir Putin or something. Now that doesn't sound right given what you wrote...

LOL, yeah that would make it sound like I had a thing for Vladdy. Double :barf:

But then again, poutine is awesome (but also something to have once a year)

Poutine!!!! Wow, that brings back memories. I used to live in Montreal Crazy and went to college at McGill. I remember going to movies on Tuesday night, then hitting up pool, and eating poutine. 😍
