Welcome to Part 6! Everyone did a bang up job by hitting 10k in less than 12 days--11 days 19 hours and 18 minutes to be exact. A new record! 😀

For those not familiar with what we do here, Molly has been kind enough to put together a nice description.

Not sure what the Random thread is all about? Well, here's the answer to all your questions.

It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

We've been through highs and lows in Part 5. From the final matches of Andre Agassi's career to the loss of the World's friend, Mr. Steve Irwin. May he rest in piece.

With all that said, let the green flag wave! Boogity Boogity Boogity!!!

We had a medicaid/meidcare lecture in my Public Finance class (basically gov't spending) and they talked about a "doughnut hole" for coverage! 😱 Something like anything between $6,000-$10,000, they don't cover ANY of it. It's all up to the person. However, if it's $10,001, they'll cover it. 😱

I'm not 100% on these coverage ranges, but it's around that amount.
Oh that's weird.

Well, I'd take Burger King over anything, but if you insist, what about Denny's? Lumberjack Slam?

I think I'm the only one here that knows anything about their menu.
Never heard of Lumberjack Slam and no Denny's around here that I know of. We must have one somewhere .... but IHOP is just down the street. 🙂

Wow, that was terrible spelling in that entire sentence. Thiamin* vitamin* I won't even attempt those last few words. Deficiency is misspelled I think, lol.

how was your day A? =)

good sweetie. the other students at the practice got sent home at like 11 and were done for the day. my luck i got the preceptor that sees close to 30 patients a day while the other students got the one that sees like 10.

whatever, i'm getting more and more comfortable at flying solo so at least i'm getting stuff out of it and not just doing busy work or something. 👍

I made pasta with vodka sauce, but it didn't come out well 🙁 . I didn't have most of the ingredients so I thought I could improvise and substitute....nope didn't work! 😡

Is it just me, or does Ben Roethlisberger look A LOT different after his facial reconstruction? He looks nothing like he did before imo...

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip looks like it's gonna be a funny show.

I don't know how I would fix the healthcare system. I plan to sit with my parents over the holidays and discuss their opinions and learn more from the FP and anesthesia sides of health care.

One thing I've noticed is that insurance companies have ridiculous rates, and then don't pay! Maybe if the government had an optional low-rate (sliding-fee?) general-type coverage plan, then at least physicals and well-visits would be covered for all and paid according to income. And, it would take a little heat off of having to raise taxes since the patient will have some financial responsibility in the sliding fee. Especially for the working middle-class who look like they have money on paper, but have to pay ridiculous property taxes, childcare expenses, etc. that the rich don't have to worry about (because they're rich) and the poor don't have to worry about because they're subsidized. Anyhoo, that's my input.

Imagine being the surgeon having to cut off a kid's penis that is still technically alive.

Nikki, 3.9 isn't enough? ahahhahahahhhaa

Edit: I meant the kid being alive, not his dick, but I guess that would be true, too.

*scratches pediatric urology off his list of potential specialties*

LOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!! The "kid" is 22. I think he's done growing. hahahahahah maybe a little more since he is a young adult. 😉

Well I still don't want to put too much thought into this subject. 😉

On a randomly and peripherally related note though, I asked a former RA of mine why he's going into urology. "I like surgery and think about it. You cure somebody's cold or broken arm and chances are they'll be ungrateful. Fix somebody down there though and you're their best friend for life!"
