Welcome to Part 6! Everyone did a bang up job by hitting 10k in less than 12 days--11 days 19 hours and 18 minutes to be exact. A new record! 😀

For those not familiar with what we do here, Molly has been kind enough to put together a nice description.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

What's everybody up to? Just had lunch with 2 classmates - it was nice. We have surg path conference later this afternoon but until then am just going to study and work on my talk.

I think it's supposed to be coming up anytime now but I am at work so won't be able to find out until tonight. 🙁

I am majorly bored and not motivated in the least to study.

It was REALLY hard for me to get motivated over summer since there was a lot more I wanted to do than study. I work better under pressure with less time left so it kicked in late enough where I felt comfortable. I'm sure you'll do fine. 🙂

:scared: Verbal was the worst for me. My first practice exam I got an 8. Last practice exam an 8. Got a 9 a couple of times. A 6 once and a 10 once. I hope I don't get a 5. I don't think I could get into any MD schools with a 5 VR...

I had all 9s, 10s, and 11s on VR and ended up with an 8. I doubt you will do the same thing though.

I don't know. I felt really bad, maybe the worst I ever have, after finishing VR. When I got that 10, I felt like I got a 15 (only missed 12 qs though). I felt as bad as I did when I got that 6 on 4R (a couple qs from a 5).

Hopefully I will on Monday if I get verified a month after submitting like you. I don't want to run into amcas problems and not be able to send it out...

I guess you could say I've finished "writing" my secondaries for HMS, UPenn, and Mayo. 😉

I am really, really, really bored. I started studying endocrinology, hence the overwhelming boredom and desire to become comatose.

One of my attendings was teaching me one-on-one about lipid panels today and that just about pushed me over the edge too.

Actually, this is one time in my life that I don't need xanax. Extreme boredom has a similar physiologic effect. :laugh:

anyways, the burgerking king would be funny... especially to run around drunk in... ron burgandy might be more fun though. Just constantly quote anchorman quotes all night
