Welcome to Part 6! Everyone did a bang up job by hitting 10k in less than 12 days--11 days 19 hours and 18 minutes to be exact. A new record! 😀

For those not familiar with what we do here, Molly has been kind enough to put together a nice description.

Not sure what the Random thread is all about? Well, here's the answer to all your questions.

It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

ha... that must have been such a fantastic waste of time teaching them that

I never even knew they were trainable.

I know Myth Busters did something to train them, but I didn't think it could get to that level. ****, I would fail at ROTC marching in line.

was at one of the hospitals this AM (not usually there on Monday, had to skip class 🙁 ). was in my office, which I share with one of the Child Life guys. I can't see who's coming in the door from my desk, so my office-mate comes in and tells the person behind him to come in too... and it was...

a Cardinal! 😍 Not Albert, or I would have fallen over my chair. 😳

Sweet! I had on my Cards t-shirt today.

Muah ha ha, in the midst of Cubs fans....

Heh. Don't lose it all in one session.

Now that I have a job I haven't been able to play as much. I'd actually prefer going to ac again sometime. It gets the blood flowing a little more.

I have my NYU interview this Wednesday, so I'm driving to NYC tomrrow after work. I'm staying at a Holiday Inn in Jersey across the river instead of the expensive Manhatten hotels.

NYU is weird, they have one 1/2 hour interview and a 1-hour tour....thats it. Oh, and you can have lunch with the med students after if you want. Whats up with that? It has me completely unmotivated to prepare for the interview, let alone go there. Maybe I will change my mind when I get there.

heh...1/2 hour interview can really test anything. What a pointless process.

Are you staying after the interview? I will be there this Thursday and Friday.

Yikes, there's a decent amount of negative feedback on sdn for nyu. Shiiiiiiiiiiiit i'm going to get owned

good luck Fe. just relax, be open and honest - its just a conversation. if the interviewer gets too intense, **** it, and try not to let it blow your confidence. a lot of schools have given up that stress interview BS so hopefully you'll just get someone that wants to talk to you and thats all.

unfortunately i have to leave wednesday because I have to work the next day. Have you been looking at sdn feedback? There is an unusual amount of negative feeback and it has me worried :scared:

someone got asked this: "Did you have pre-medical advisors at your school? (b/c you're grades and MCATs are too low for you to really think you can go to school here)"

 My response would be: "Um, then why the **** are you interviewing me"

I heard the MSTP interviews are different from the regular MD interview. Even though MSTP applicants technically have an "MD interview" that is different from the regular MD interview as well. We'll see though.

If someone said that to me I'd laugh out loud. lawl.

How bad can it get in 30 minutes unless they are grilling you at a rate of a question per 30 sec?

yea you're right, my psu interviews were 45 min each and they both felt like 45 seconds.

Thanks🙂 My goal is not to sound like a complete *****. If I can accomplish that, I will leave a happy man.
