Welcome to Part 6! Everyone did a bang up job by hitting 10k in less than 12 days--11 days 19 hours and 18 minutes to be exact. A new record! 😀

For those not familiar with what we do here, Molly has been kind enough to put together a nice description.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

this isn't the wild west guys... I don't know about how they do it down in that crazy south, but there are concealed weapons laws up here

One of our football players fired some semi-automatic weapons in his apartment. It went through the wall into his neighbor's place. None of the girls in that apt were harmed. The dudes had no charges filed against them. It was an "accident" and wasn't thought to be loaded.

My organic lab partner had about 3 Glocks and a rifle and would go shooting every once in a while.

that's why I get scared everytime I cross the michigan border to the south... Ohio and Indiana is where the nuttiness begins, and it just gets worse and worse the further you go south 👎

and that's not to say there aren't any guns up here... this state loves to hunt, etc... it's just all the drunken rednecks that I worry about... and that heat that seems to make them a bit more edgy

I was mad about the stupid mail earlier today. Now I'm just sad. 🙁

Sooooo upset that I have to wait until Monday. And watch it be bad news and then I'll be even more sad.

Blah, just ignore me. I'm feeling sorry for myself.

USC is #3 in the nation. They're playing against an unranked team. The gap should be larger. I guess Auburn won't fall down too much, if any, because USC ain't too hot either.

Do you think a mailman could deliver a certified letter to the wrong address and get away with it? Our mailman SUCKS. We get other people's mail in with our stuff 3-4 times a week. I wonder how many times our stuff is going to other people?

It has taken 2+ weeks for us to get mail from people who live just a couple miles from us a few times.

So I'm not discounting the fact that this really could be USPS's fault. I'd just think certified mail would take care of that.

Oh, I am DEFINITELY calling first thing Monday morning - like 8:05 AM and demanding to talk to anyone who knows the decision.

And my daughter has her 3 year well check at 9AM. If I haven't gotten an answer from the med school by then, I'm totally blowing off the doctor's office "no cell phones" policy.

EDP decision deadline is tomorrow. The school sends certified letters with their decision. Nothing in the mail today. Mail doesn't come tomorrow. So unless I get a phone call tomorrow (unlikely) I won't know their decision until after the deadline.

i hate to tell you this oxeye but thats how 99% of med school administrations work.
