hi guys. i am not one to get angry easily, but i am super frustrated this evening. we still have a mouse problem in our apartment, and on top of that my phone is not letting me have a full conversation without dropping a call. sometimes it won't even let me dial! and it's a relatively new phone...just got it last april. UGH!

speaking of mice....this is so disgusting....i went to starbucks right by my place and as I was opening the door I saw something smashed up right by the door....I'm like hmmm that looks like a mouse but I'm like it can't be....and then I saw baby mice running around the trash can near the door.....eww ....someone must have stepped on one of them without realizing it...gross :barf: Never going back there again!

oh man, that would put me over the top. fortunately (or maybe unfortunately...i'm not sure) i have only seen 2 mice. i've just seen their evidence. i just talked to my landlord and she says to get some DCon and just kill the suckers. if they die in the walls, she doesn't care at this point. as long as they are gone.

You should get a cat. Mine kills mice frequently.

Guys, I'm starting to worry I won't get in anywhere this cycle. 🙁

What will I do if I have to reapply? I don't really know how to improve my app short of staying in ugrad the rest of my life to bring up my GPA.

did you try plugging the holes with some kind of wire mesh?....that seemed to work like a charm in my old apt.

i remeber when i got my first apt (krap was not even the word for it but it was really close to shops, transporation, etc), my neighbor downstairs used mouse traps that doesn't kill the mice....as soons as he catches one....he would let it escape in the streets because he said he just couldn't kill them. 😱 😎 I used to tell him wtf dude....you're catching the same ones over and over again 😡

yeah, i figure a cat would do that, but i'm not sure if i'm ready to have a cat, for many reasons, including the fact that neither my bf or i are around during the day.

anastasis, you WILL get in. its only october. i didnt get my first acceptance until February and then not again until April and May. :luck:

Holy ****, you mean that guy who killed those women like 15+ years ago? I didn't hear about that. I'm glad that piece of **** was executed. No need to waste money on keeping this dingus alive in prison. 😡 There's a piece of the wall on campus that people paint whatever they want except one piece. It's been there for years with the names of the 5 that were murdered.

Not that I think you'll need to reapply since I'm sure you'll get in somewhere. but there's always ways of improving your application. If god forbid you dont get in then there's always the option of doing a SMP program and doing extra clinical work or research if you don't have any of that. There's always something and no one person has the perfect application. So don't think that way. However, I'm sure you'll get in somewhere. If nothing else I'll bet you'll at least get a Tx acceptance or two. don't worry. 😛

Ana, DON'T WORRY!! I know, easier said than done. I lost many nights sleep over worry about not matching.

You have gotten many interviews at many fantastic institutions which means you have a fantastic app. And I have MET you and KNOW that you will interview well. So absolutely no worries, ok? 😍

although I like dogs more...I would think cats are easier to take care of.

You don't need to be around! :laugh: My cat is an outdoor cat so I rarely see it. Maybe 20 seconds on any given day.

My brother lived in one of the exact apartment building where those women were killed by those people. I forget the name of the neighborhood now, but it creeps me out knowing that women were murdered in his very buidling.
