Gatorwood apartments? They shut that place down now. I think they're going to re-develop that old dump (no offense to your bro if that was the place 😉 ).

I used to live at Oxford Manor for the first couple years and I think one of the murders happened there if not very close.

Exactly!!! Even if Vandy didn't show any love to you, just think that there are several others in preallo from both this year and people in the last cycle who got rejected there but then got in other great institutions around the country. Don't take it as a sign. Vandy is just super picky like HMS is about who gets into their school. That doesn't mean you won't get other good acceptances. I knew a few people who got waitlisted or rejected from there but got in other good schools and home state schools as well. So don't worry!!!

I actually saw him in person 2 yrs ago....he was in the same red eye flight I was on.....my husband and I were a few rows away from the back of the plane and he was actually sitting in the back seat with 3 of his friends.....he definitely looks better in pictures 🙁 2 of the flight attendants were like omg where's jessica?

Yeah it was Gatorwood apartments. Yeah there's no doubt he'd probably agree with you now that he has a nice 2 bedroom condo in a better part of Florida. I have a friend that lives in Oxford Manor. That's creepy that one of the murders happened there as well.

I didn't know they shut down gatorwood apts. My brother was an enginnering major who graduated in 2000 and then almost finished a masters in 2001. He lived with a friend who had a young son at the time. That was nearly 5-6 years ago and a different era. To think its been that long since he graduated and it is literally the year of his 10 year reunion is kind of amazing. How time flies.

Cool! Oxford was pretty nice because it was very quite and only single story apts with the two stories being the same unit. 🙂

Gatorwood I think shut down my senior year (a year ago). It was definitely open in Fall 03 -Spring 04, but I dont' remember the time in the middle at UF too well.

my hubby and i want to spend new years somewhere different, but nothing is definite as of yet...depends if were broke or not, lol....now will it be more fun to spend new year's eve on south beach or las vegas? one of my friends will be at either places

I would recommend telling your next interviewer that plastics is the best thing that ever happened to medicine and you will "bring it back around" whenever it suits them best. 😉
