A few ground rules. Everything you post must be RANDOM and more importantly, only peripherally related to the MCAT. See my example post below. I now await Beary's shirtless pic of Carl Edwards. C'mon Beary, A-man is dying to see it. 😀

This is Ana's example:

My, factually, better examples 😀 :

And one final thing. GO GATORS! GO AGGIES! My parents are A&M alum...

I don't know how much time you have spent in NY or around New Yorkers... but I've spent more than enough... and they are bar-none, the worst people on the face of this earth 🙂

Put a New Yorker in any place outside of New York, and have them act like they are in New York, they get punched in the face... it's only in NYC where people are used to that annoying behavior...

and the beer is just too expensive...

no.

never got punched.

and you just don't know where to go drinking.

its either that or posting the current score.

I'm happy that you guys can buy title contention for at least one of your teams... 👍

Detroit sports >>>> New York sports

give me chicago over ny anyday...

+1 dude. Been to NYC a couple times, was never wow'd by it other than the Empire State building, but then I saw the Sears Tower.

So let's see...Knicks suck, Jets suck, Yankees suck. And I'm a sports guy. Who does Chi-town have? Oh right. Bears and the Bulls who are currently becoming some dominant teams in their respective sports. The White Sox got screwed because they're in the toughest division in MLB, but they still make fun to watch.

Can't forget how much cleaner the city is. You can actually swim in the water and not feel like you've contracted 107 STDs (I like sailing, tubing, and water skiing). On top of that, you can actually own a car in Chi-town and get around unlike NYC. And you guys know how much I like cars. So I won't be applying to any NY med schools let alone residency if I have the opportunity.

Gotta eat dinner and watch nip/tuck. Cya guys.

maybe you learned "normal" behavior when you went to college upstate 😉 👍

I'm done venting... my hate for New York stems just from the New Yorkers that went to U of Michigan, who are truly truly obnoxious... I've been to NY about a dozen times, and I had a fine time... just not my style, just walking around and dealing with all those people puts me in a bad mood...

and talking about this puts me in a bad mood...

Detroit WHAT!!!

Oh I certainly represented the home state this afternoon. I made him Show Me some respect.
🙄

I got pulled over for speeding 3 days before graduating from college, while on my way home from work. I still had my home state's license plates and driver's license, plus a school sticker on my back window. The cop asks me if I'm a student there. 🙄 I say yes, and he asks my major.

For some dumb-ass reason, I say, "Well I'm thinking about becoming a *insert my major here* major.", he says "Going to be?" and I go on to tell him I just finished my first semester there, was in an unfamiliar part of the city (not...technically...true...), and was sooooooooooooo sorry I hadn't caught the speed limit sign- was looking for the street where my friend lived. Actually, I was looking for an Arby's b/c I was hungry.

He hands back the license and says "Well, I'd hate to welcome you to the Show-Me State by showing you a ticket, so just be careful", and then proceeds to give me the directions to my friend's street.

i find this funny since everyone i know in chicago *and i know quite a few since i practially lived there for a year* had no cars and bitched about how hard it was to get around.

parking was a nightmare. but this is true for many cities

plenty of open parking lots (aka abandoned lots) in Detroit :meanie:

Well I'm glad some good came out of our dumb state motto. 👍

yay I've heard from 4 friends from home today 😍 makes a girl feel special 😳

i got a myspace message today from someone that claims they were in 4th grade with me. they gave me their last name and told me to guess their first but i have no idea who this is. they obviously know me though because i only receive messages from people that know my full name. freaky.

i know it's not really the same but.....i hate it when i see a person from the past (i.e. school or work) and they start talking and you can't remember their name but they remember yours and you hope you never have to say their name in the middle of the conversation 😳 ....i especially hate it when i'm with my husband and have to introduce this person to him.....so awkward....happened to me a few times....guess i'm just bad with names 😀
