My old neighbor across the street was the goalie for the Orlando Solar Bears. The whatever hockey league that was that went broke a few years ago. They won a championship. Was it the AHL or something? He had to stop playing because his knees were screwed up. Dont lecture me on hockey little missy. 😉

Why they want road rights puzzles me. The physics of the situation drives me insane. 200 lb person+bike vs. 2000 lb car. 12 MPH Bike vs. 40 MPH Car.

M1V1 + M2V2 = M1V1 + M2V2

Calculate that out.

My brother rode his bike into a parked car one time. 🙂 He was turning the other way talking to us. That same day, my friend threw a broom through his front wheel spokes. The bike crashed.

When I was ~3 y.o., I had a big wheel bike. My parents showed me video tape of me riding of my 1 y.o. brother. Good times. 🙂

I wouldn't mind if they went the speed limit. They just don't. Why would they spend so much money on a fast road bike and go only 25mph?!?!?!?! ****, I got up to 27mph paced by my friend's car on a piece of **** Sears mountain bike with huge tires. I'd easily go over 30mph and keep up at least in neighborhoods. Damn.

😀 Actually this was almost the way I learned how to ride a bike. My grandfather was holding the bike seat as I was pedalling and then let go. I kept on going forward and stupid me decided to look back and say "Look grandpa I'm doing it." Next thing I knew I crashed right on the curb....elbows and knees were bleeding like hell 😡

Well, the plane was f'd up to begin with. We were in coach, near the rear landing gears, center row. We were taxing to the runway and some LOUD sounds were vibrating a lot around the seat 10 feet diagonal from mine. It sounded bad so the pilot said we'd go back to the terminal and it would be an hour to fix.

We get back and it's only five MINUTES and we're leaving again. Still some weird sounds (I've been on planes dozens of times til this point so I know what is normal). Take off fine and it's okay. Two weeks later, boom.

JFK to Paris (not Charles De'Gualle iirc, the other one). Visited relatives there, but also flew to Iran to visit other relatives. Back in 2002 we flew again, but on Delta since TWA didn't exist anymore. It was on a 777 and DC-10 widebody jets. Not as fun as the 747 imo. This time it was Charles De'Gualle.

Oh man...what happened if you don't mind saying? Nice to see you survived that.

Some girl at my college on a scooter was ran over by one of those large Pepsi trucks. The truck was at a stop sign, but a bus wanted to make a wide turn. The stupid truck driver backed up without looking (even with a rear camera). Ran right over her. People started yelling while it happened, too late to stop. Luckily, she didn't die. A bunch of people tried to lift up the back of the truck, didn't work. They started to throw out a bunch of drink to lessen the weight. Still didn't work so the fire fighters came and used an air jack to get her out.

I've been thinking about what kind of pet to get in med school if I get in. Something that is independent, but still has the loyalty of a dog. Hyena?

I got a bird when I first moved away by myself to college. 😉 I could have him out to keep me company but he was also perfectly happy to be in his cage while I was away at class.

He's almost 6 years old now. 😉 I still love that silly bird!

It's a story that you really wouldn't believe really. I have told beary this one and she ahd to keep holding her breath not to laugh. (Sweet, quiet beary...mean, mean girl! 😛 )

The VERY abbreviated version is that a couple of friends and I were at one of their parents' house near the college and we were driving through the field (they had some property there) in this farm utility vehicle/truck thing. We were blowing off steam and I decided to ride on the front of it. My friend who was driving was headed toward a thing sticking about 6 feet out of the ground and she was swerving and stuff. I am not sure entirely, but I think I jumped off...and tried to roll out of the way of the car...she swerved to try to miss me...we went the same way. Over both feet...flattened them. Up both legs and , being on my side, the axle got caught on my pelvis and I could feel it spinning and digging in. (not fun) Anyway, I was dragged along for a very short bit and when I opened my eyes, the front bumper was at my chest. Like I said..that is the short version.

Honestly, it was so funny that it really helped the pain. It's one of those stories that I will tell forever. Always gets a laugh...and a gasp.

I am keeping my head above water, I think, though just barely. 😀 (I'll feel better when I get my first exam back!) It's a ton of work, but it's also absolutely amazing, so I can't complain. 🙂
