When i was in collegel I got hit by an old lady driving out of the parking lot while I was walking from the pump to the cashier to pay for my gas It was at the CFM on PLeasant Hill and S. 51 for those that know Carbondale.

I hurt my knee a little but didn't need to go to the hospital. She must have been gunning to get out of the parking lot and just hit me in the right spot to make my leg buckle without breaking. Lucky for me.

thanks nik! my preceptor got the eyeliner thing, i had asked her if she had been doing anything different with her eyes over the past few days but she said no. it wasnt until he specifically told me to ask about make up that she made the connection.

well, Silo X, et al, are within 5-10 min of my house. however, the Darkness is in Soulard, which is definitely the better dinner option.

last time we went to the Darkness, we went to McGurk's first for dinner and maybe a few drinks to get us in the mood.... (note: Strongbow draft)

plenty of other options down there as well

Yeah... I was thinking Darkness first. IMO it's the better one and closest to our hotel. My friend kathy is still on the fence - I'll have to let her know what's up.

Many moons ago (95? 96?) the Darkness had a "movie monster" theme where each room had a scene from a different horror movie, and the house was sponsored by a Hollywood FX group.

My favorite was the "Alien" room where one came at you from the ceiling as you walked in the door, one popped up from the side and extended it's 2nd jaws, and the "larva" attached to some guy's face and the baby busting out of the stomach. It was awesome!

They also had Pumpkinhead, Freddy, Jason, Leatherface, Pinhead, Werewolves, Dracula, the Killer Klowns from Outer Space, and I think the Blob. They also had generic scary rooms (axe murders, gore, etc.)

if memory serves, we were at the Darkness in '02.. it was the night that my "bitch, please" friend created several new nicknames for me after she almost got us beat up by some dudes walking down the street as we were all waiting in line... it was the night that my ******* math-challenged friends underpaid the server at McGurk's so she had to come running after us b/c what we left didn't cover the bill..

and it was the night that we discovered that there is no problem so great that pancakes at 1am can't make a little bit better. 👍

voila, the birth of Pancake Therapy.
