5) Microsoft Flight Simulator
6) NASCAR SimRacing
7) John Deere American Farmer
8) Doom 3 (when I feel like scaring the **** out of myself)
9) Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
10) Microsoft Train Simulator
11) Silent Hunter III
12) Black and White 2 (think I could really get into this, but just haven't yet)
13) GTA: San Andreas
14) Sim City 4

Games totally not worth the hype:
1) Half-Life 2 (most over-rated game of all time IMHO)
2) all the Sims about the people instead of the city

I share GTA on that list, also Sim City 4 😍 , I also have a massive addiction to:
Civilization series
Football Manager series (or any coaching sports sim)

Those pretty much cycle in and out... GTA not so much anymore, although that Bully game by Rockstar looks pretty interesting

omg beary--my dad used to play doom when i was little (the old skool version) and it scared the living **** outta me!!!


OMG BEARY!!!! I JUST SAW ANOTHER MILLIPEDE!! it got away and is now running around my house somewhere--i am seriously trippin

I didn't even know that many games existed. As you can probably tell by now, I don't play computer games let alone video games. :laugh:

omg you would love it. It's still my favorite rpg.....it's one of the original "town and army building" type games. I played it from 6th grade until college (off an on, of course 😎 :laugh: )

Does anyone remember this game? This was my first computer game ever. I played it on a home made 386!

Wolfenstein 3D was great when that came out... Halo was great... NCAA College Football series... Grand Tourismo series... I completely forgot I still own an XBOX and a PS2... I don't really know where they even are anymore 😕

I remember I used to go to my dad's work for the fast connection in the early 90s and download everything they had on this wustl.edu FTP site (I guess copyrights were harder to enforce back then)

Hey everyone! (who's not already asleep) TypeA, fantastic news that they caught those sick bastards.

Tonight was dedicated to an awesome nap and a long phone call. The cell phone, it is my other time-sucking addiction.

What happens if you don't respond to a page?

I've never broken any bones either.

I love the Halloween pics! I was considering being boring this weekend, but the pics are getting me excited. I think it's around my fave holiday.

Snood story follows...

Yes, I confess, I have spent many many hours of my life on Snood. Tis too true.

At one point a bf found the code and let me play the full version. This was a revelation, and I got into the Puzzle side of it. Later I broke it, only to be sucked in when I came up to Michigan and found a new roommate who'd (gasp) actually purchased the full version. The rest, you can probably guess. Recently I was talking to a friend on the phone, and he paused and said accusingly, "are you playing Snood?" He was right, and I was amazed, because I hadn't played it in years. He said he heard the frustration in my voice.

BUT--many hours of that same said sophomore year of Snood goodness--half our dorm spent their lives on Diablo. and I remember two girls who were involved in that madness too, Ana. I just have different choices than you people. 😛

1) Warcraft 3//DotA
2) Counter-Strike
3) Team Fortress Classic
4) Diablo 2
5) Starcraft

also, short intro.

ana and i went to undergrad together. she came up here, and i hosted. and the randomnight of goodness happened.

i'm not a med student--i'm in the 2nd year of getting my masters in information (the reincarnation of library science) up here. but you ppl are cool, and i like forums, so i thought i'd start chilling here from time to time...if no one minds of course. 🙂

Actually, just remembered I did play ONE computer game as a kid even though we had a ton of those free CDs that came with our purchase.

It was "The 7th Guest." Scared the **** out of me as a kid, lol.

I liked the "realism" of Mortal Kombat more... the bloods and gore, street fighter series was just too cartoony

Hi Penny!

I am glad you had a great nap! I did too. 😀

I could potentially get in big trouble if I missed a page when I was on duty (which right now, I am not). We have text paging at U Mich which everybody uses so you can at least tell who is paging and if it is urgent or not.

Morning kids. No heat sucks. Good thing the father-in-law is dropping off the animals today 😀 And he is a handyman by profession! :clap: But for now, ochem, ochem, ochem. Today is going to suck. Exam, then run over to my other school to take a makeup exam then get back in time for my ochem lab today. :barf:
