how's your studying going guys? are you freaking out? burned out?

this is our stress relief thread....or our group anxiety thread, whatever..... 😀

for those of you that have no idea what the mcat random threads are about, check out molly's explanation:

MollyMalone said:
It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO POST HERE, you're welcome to jump in at anytime. Here's the final tally from part 7:

😕 it's been a while, but doesn't pianissimo mean "very soft"? the plan was to bump it up to "piano", "forte" and "fortissimo" as you got closer.

it does mean very soft. However I am just saying the piano is being prepared for the concerto.

I've decided that my three year old would really benefit from some sort of class. 🙂 So I found a gymnastics class and a dance class that work with my schedule next semester. They're both the same cost and I can't decide which she would like better.

She loves to dance but I think she'd enjoy gymnastics too. Plus the gymnastics place is like 5 minutes from here and the dance place is more like 20 minutes from here.

Decisions, decisions .....

thanks beary. i know its still months away before i have to commit but its still crazy. i really really really liked being in the OR, REALLY. EM was my other top choice but after 3 weeks in psych ER dealing with case after case of drug abuse and detox, i dont know if the ER environment is what i want day in and day out for the rest of my life.

now comes medicine...... we'll see. i have a feeling i'm going to like it but i think i'm gonna love surgery when i have it right after med. why do i have to like so many things? why couldnt i be one of those surgery gunners and just be one dimensional?!?!?!?!

the other thing is the competitivesness, jeez... i heard EM was worst but the whole thought of gambling it all on gen surg and then scrambling into geriatrics or something freaks me the hell out.

sorry for the long post you guys, its just that as my 3rd year goes on more and more people from family, to faculty to other med students are asking me what i want and i'm just......... 😕 🙁

i understand what you are saying. i promise you that you will figure all of this out and you won't end up with the old people. and i missed you dammit!!!🙁

Dude, be thankful that you're gonna be a doctor. Most of us are still wishin' and dreamin'!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's a funky smell in my downstairs bathroom. It was just cleaned a few days ago too!!!

UGH, I have no clue what it is. It's seriously nasty, though.

i'm sure you've already done this but i'll say it anyways. look under the sink to make sure it's not coming from there

It's a pedestal sink - no way anything can get under it.

I've seriously looked everywhere. The only thing I can think is that it's coming from the heating vent (but then wouldn't I smell it other places in the house??) or under the floor somehow. I'm wondering if something is wrong with the pipes under the toilet. Maybe I should have someone from the building company out here. 🙁

I just watched the 9 crimes music video. As much as I love that song, I am not into decapitated floating heads. :scared: 😱

Is she naturally athletic or graceful? The benefit of dance is that she's also exposed to music. I'm biased though. I did ballet and tap for 10 years.
