this is our stress relief thread....or our group anxiety thread, whatever..... 😀

for those of you that have no idea what the mcat random threads are about, check out molly's explanation:

It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I have always wanted to own my own business (well, I do now, but I'm a solo employee) but have never taken any business courses. Can someone do an MBA without having a previous degree in business?

My dream dream dream job is to be an MD or DO and own a practice and venture into other business stuff, too. I just need the appropriate background.

Any advice?

Yes. A business degree isn't required most places.

For a little LOL:
My dad thought I was exaggerating and being overly melodramatic about my hives at Xmas time.

I would literally be scratching for hours straight and he kept telling me it was all in my head. He was actually getting annoyed and pissed at me, thinking I was doing it for attention - Until I decided to tuck my t-shirt up under my bra and put on shorts and show him that I was one big hive from head to toe. Then he wanted to take me to the ER! Ha!

I can sympathize with you on two counts:

First, a similar thing happened to me recently where I think i took a medication for acne and think I had an allergi reaction to it. I thought it was just the flu that I got but then after i got better I tried the medicine I was taking one more time and it led me to a nigt of throwing up like at least 6 times and my temperature raising too high so now I'm convinced it was the medicine. The medicine had sulfa drugs in it and I'm thinking I might have had an allergic reaction to that cuz I vaguely remember my doctor saying something about that. So now I'm just goin to mention to my docs I think i might have an allergy to sulfa drugs.

On the other count, about 5 years ago something happened to me where my parents told me I was overexagerrating. it was shortly before we leaving for Europe. Actually now it its almost 6 years ago this happened. But at any rate my eyes had some how gotten infected and I could barely open them but mmy mo told me it was all in my head and that it was probably allergies. Then when she saw a small bit of yellow stuff come out of it. Maybe pus she started to believe me even though I was telling her repeatedly that I knew it was not in my head. So it wasn't until we got to England and I saw a doctor there that I got something which cleared it up almost right away.

So I understand where you are coming from.

Yes they can ... I don't have the time to go into it (and its not easy without basic knowledge, but I can give you some tips. Oh and an MBA wouldn't actually be necessary ... )

Oh dang! I need to find out when mine is due!

The way I look at it, I'm actually ahead of the game by remembering this far in advance. On July 31, I thought "Wow, I bet I have to do that soon since class starts in 2 weeks..." and saw that I had until Aug 1 to pay it. So I had to rearrange my schedule to drive up to school and go to the cashier's office. We get charged an extra 3% to pay by credit card (seriously- stoopid state school.... 😡 ), and the money is due 1/1... but that's a holiday... so I'm thinking if I mail it in Fri, it should get there by 1/2... which should count. I hope.
