Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

Yep, 9 or 10 here too. Though I don't have to get up until 6!

Can't complain about my first day on autopsy. No autopsies, no placentas, and no legs. 😀 Gave me a chance to sort of figure out how they do the paperwork, death certificates, ME cases, etc.

i m taking a day off tomorrow to study for end of terms i dont really have any classes just a 2 hr comm studies class so its a good day for a holiday

Tonight, I am vegging...no studying. NONE! Chem test has been put to rest...and we will see how I did soon.

I have been keeping up with y'all as much as possible...but a summary post would just seem ridiculous and out of date. Nonetheless...let me see what I can do. (off the top of my head)

JLW, I hope your mice problem is rectified soon and that Nik's millipede issue is squashed. Penny, where the heck have you been? I only see your posts as quotes! Guju, you have been more active in here than usual (well, over the last couple of months) so glad to have you back. MM, sounds like you are swamped, but loving school...am I right? Congrats Dr. D on the interview. And Will, et al...thanks for the TI-89 help. It worked like a charm today. Gave me all the right answers (I hope 😉 )

And that was one of the most impressive summary posts EVAR. You want to come help me with autopsies? That way you can just store everything away in your noggin and I won't have to take any notes. 😀

I am doing the same after my anatomy exam this afternoon. I have a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc chilling in the fridge and I am just going to take it easy tonight since my next exam isn't until... next Wednesday! I do have a lot to do to prepare for it since I essentially haven't looked at anything from that class for the last two weeks, but, hey, I'm giving myself one night. 🙂

Spent the entire afternoon being verbally abused by other pre-meds as I attempted to study for biochem. 🙁 Why didn't I just leave?
Oh yeah because I needed the computer to sort out the Vandy stuff.

Seriously - Am I really that bad about the score thing? They kept implying that I was an arrogant bitch all afternoon. I really hate this; I hate the person that this process is making me become and I'm sad because I think maybe I was this person before and just didn't realize it. I usually have a pretty thick skin but this crap is starting to wear thin. I could just blow them all off as haters but I think it may have more to do with me than I'm willing to admit.


Oh yeah, best part! The ringleader of the crap on Ana parade: Study Boy.

Sorry to hear about that 🙁 What's going on? Are they asking you what you got? Did they ask you what you got? If so, then they are TOTALLY haters and just jealous. Unless you are going around bragging about your score, this isn't your fault at all. But yes, it still sucks 🙁

I made the mistake of telling a professor who wrote me a LOR my MCAT score. Turns out he's the biggest mouth on campus and literally announced it in his class - then everyone found out. Now I swear to God half the people are only nice to be because of my MCAT score. Total bull****. 😡 I guess I'm just pissed because I think I'm becoming all that I hate so much and I'm not really sure how to avoid it.

But I figured out that after the end of this semester I could literally NEVER set foot on that campus again. 👍 I don't really want it to come to that but it is a very appealing option at times.

Aw, that sucks Ana. The prof should have kept quiet. Although I could only dream of scores like that, I had a teacher in high school that always gave any tests back in order of score...highest to lowest and the person who got the highest score had to hand the tests back. Even though I did well, I didn't want the whole world to know about it. But that was only measly high school tests, I can't imagine what it would be like for the MCAT

There's nothing wrong in having a high MCAT score. It's ok to flaunt it a little, but I see nothing bad in how you act, so you're not becoming anything bad to us (and we're what matters, right???????? :laugh:)

I hate it when people ask for my grades after exams. I would've been really upset had a professor done to me what happened to you. Rain or shine, I like to keep my stuff private. 🙂

Which one? Last week's presentation went well. Monday's trial run went okay. Today's trial run went okay, but it was in front of my fellow classmates, so it was hard to be serious. Note to self: do not use the word 'hell' in the real deal. One more trial run and I'm good to go.

I lived in Canada first... in half Maple Leaf, half Red Wing territory... and I went with the Maple Leafs... to this day I hate, hate, hate the Red Wings. Those two teams used to be HUGE rivals before they realigned the conferences about 8-10 years ago
