how's your studying going guys? are you freaking out? burned out?

this is our stress relief thread....or our group anxiety thread, whatever..... 😀

for those of you that have no idea what the mcat random threads are about, check out molly's explanation:

MollyMalone said:
It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO POST HERE, you're welcome to jump in at anytime. Here's the final tally from part 7:

I so wish that I liked actual straight-up coffee, not just the latte stuff.

Oxeye I still can't believe all those links you posted. That's hillarious.

On a more sad note you all should check out the thread I posted in preallo. Some people are soooooooooo disgusting its not even funny.. How does a person ask a 7 year old boy how it feels to know he's going to die before a class of 120 students and his doctor and mother and make a boy cry in such an insensitive manner when the perpetrator of such a question is a medical student training to be a physician himself???

Whew that was long, but seriousy this is a sad day when we hear that our future physicians could be soooo immature to someone so young and innocent before the whole class and the good percent of the class just sat their and found it funny.

i just read it. sick!

So disturbing once I realized that you didn't mean with beer. 🙁

so glad I'm not the only one who had to take a moment with that one.

 "Hey, somebody hold my beer! Some strange dude is propositioning me."

*keeps mouth shut and snickers just a little bit* :meanie:

so williams, you'll be happy to hear that we decided to get a cat. it'll be nice to have another companion around, and hopefully this will rid us of our mouse problem.

i use it. whatchu need girl?

i'm asking a proff for an LOR... so how do I get that onto interfolio?

I saw that he can start an account, so would I just give him my account number? But I also saw that he can fax it in, but it said something about me giving him a form? What's up with that?

I've gone through a markdown bag of peanut m&ms because of this. HELP!

ok, first step: breathe. 🙂

here's what you do:

1) Log onto your account
2) From your dashboard, you can either click on the "Documents" tab, or click "Add documents to your portfolio" from the middle of the page.
3) Under "document type", select "Letter of Recommendation"
4) Add in your own Document Title (something like "Letter of Rec from Dr. X"
5) Change the "Document Format" to "Send Later"
6) Click "Add this Document ->"
7) When the next page comes up, click the "I waive my right of access" on the confidential side (you don't HAVE to waive your right, but it's usually better to go with confidential).
8) When you click that button, a window will pop up (make sure your pop-ups aren't blocked by your internet browser settings). Print the PDF confidentiality waiver that comes up and also save a copy. You can then email this to your prof (or snail mail it...whatever you prefer). It contains all the instructions your prof needs for any of the three options to send his/her letter in (mail, fax, or electronic upload).

One of my profs did the electronic upload, and it was quick and painless (she did have to set up an account with them, but it's pretty straightforward). Another one of my recommenders mailed in the confidentiality form with her letter. Either way is fine.

Let me know if you need more info. :luck:

👍 Cats are cool. I'd like an African Serval one day. Maybe in med school?
No African Serval 🙁 Leave them in the wild. 🙁 I understand some people want to domesticate exotic animals but I just feel so bad for certain types. Plus there are plenty of cats much cheaper 😉

Oh and as for your article ... Only in Ala. 🙄
