how's your studying going guys? are you freaking out? burned out?

this is our stress relief thread....or our group anxiety thread, whatever..... 😀

for those of you that have no idea what the mcat random threads are about, check out molly's explanation:

MollyMalone said:
It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO POST HERE, you're welcome to jump in at anytime. Here's the final tally from part 7:

I believe that overall we are respectful to one another and I would appreciate it if an alternative word could be used to convey the emotions you are feeling.

awwwwwww.... I just got AIMed by a kid who I was a houseparent for when I first moved to NYC 10 years ago! he's living in the UK now, married, and talking about having a kid. :scared: so sweet! I got the chance to see him when I was in London briefly last year, and he's such a different guy then when I met him at 15! I'm not sure that we've talked since I got back here, and that was totally out of the blue.. I love that kid. (ok, yes, he's 25 now. but if I have to haul your butt out of bed every morning and drive your carpool to the train station, you're going to stay a "kid" to me for life.)

Aww, I love when doing something so simple makes someone happy. 🙂

I'm always looking for good deals on craigslist. I was reading the baby classified section today and saw that a person posted that she is pregnant and due soon and does anyone have baby socks to sell? She said she couldn't afford much. Well, I have tons of little newborn socks that my girls never used and I gave them to her for free. She was so appreciative! I'm just glad I could help someone out with something so simple. I'd never guess that socks would make someone's day. 🙂
😍

This is the coolest thing I've heard all day. 🙂

You're awesome, sweetie!

anyone know where to send single socks? Sadly, many of them have only been worn a few times. What do you do with these things?

I went on an extreme facebook group/issue joining spree earlier and I just got a text from a friend: "Dude - Facebook freak. Don't try to act like you actually care about that stuff"

(no, it wasn't from assclown. That's why I'm actually laughing and not pissed)

same sex marriage bans passed, as well as arizona's "english as the official language" vote, and the restriction of affirmative action

hey guys sorry i havent posted in a while but its been CRAZY. i was at the hospital from 6am-430pm and then was on call in the psych ER from 430-now. the director of the ER unit is AWESOME though. i told him i wanted to do EM and that i lived on campus and he told me that when i start on his unit this monday for the next 3 weeks to just screw the regular 6am-noon or 1pm-6pm schedule they offer med students. he told me if i wanted i could just do the 6pm-10pm shift with him everynight, he is so laid back and friendly so that just made my month. 😀 😀 😀 😀

its AWESOME. basically, i would have one psych lecture a day at noon and then come back for about 4 hours of psych ER monday-friday night, instead of the usual 5/6 hours of psych ER. i could sleep in every morning, go back to being a night person and since i live on campus there's no commute. its perfect, i have no resident and just see pts on my own and present directly to this guy which is the director of the psych ER. 😍 😍 😍 😍

Thank Goodness, Mush...what would we do without you to bring us this breaking news??? 😉 😍
I have NO clue. But word to the wise, a meeting in roanoke anytime soon? 😀

He got a bengal instead

No, she's a brat 😀 She's been known to steal any bread or meat....she actually opened up the bread drawer, so now they have to put a stick in the drawer handle to make sure it stays shut. She also fetches. They've also got two other much bigger cats, and she's the boss of them (i.e. she pushes them out of the way to get to the food first). They've been known to like water too. She doesn't jump into a sink full of water or anything, but she is very mesmerized by water running out of the tap  They're a neat breed
How adorable!!!! Does she go to a special vet? Any behavioral issues?

P.S. That didn't come out right. I don't want to literally *see* him. Wait a second, this first sentence here didn't sound right. My mind is in the gutter.
