how's your studying going guys? are you freaking out? burned out?

this is our stress relief thread....or our group anxiety thread, whatever..... 😀

for those of you that have no idea what the mcat random threads are about, check out molly's explanation:

MollyMalone said:
It's basically a restaurant. That serves breaststicks. And lots of cute fruit and veggies. And is patronized by a HO. And Tucker Carlson. Vin Diesel, too. Lots of race car drivers eat here, as well. We're very well respected by the Amish... one girl in particular is here almost all the time.

The food is great if you're low on iron. It's not on the menu, but you can ask about the special secret garlic cure home recipe. One of the hostesses often makes weather predictions, but she's not always around. I think she has another job with the government. Or a government. Something like that. One of the other hostesses says "Bitch, please," a lot, but she's joking... don't take it personally.

Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

I guess that's pretty much all you need to know. I'm usually in the corner booth over there drinking a nice glass of wine. You're welcome to join me, anytime. We're open 24/7.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO POST HERE, you're welcome to jump in at anytime. Here's the final tally from part 7:

The flu shot itself only took about 10 seconds. But, I had to wait for eight minutes.

And - lots of babies were born. Meaning placentas for me. 😡

I'm getting the nasal flu vaccine this saturday 😀

Boo on placentas@!

It's actually

Study for step 1 - 2 months
study for step 2 - 2 weeks
study for step 3 - 2 pensils

:meanie:
STOP STALKING ME! 😡 👎

😛 I knew i forgot the PENCILS (learn how to spell 😛 )

ME TOO! I am decent at archery though it has been many years. One of these days I will have to see what I can do a gun...well, other than skeet shooting.

There are tons of shooting ranges around here since it is Militia-gan and all. Sometime I really want to try it. And fencing just looks so totally awesome!

Edit: TypeA, we should go target shooting together next time you are up here!!

I want to learn archery and fencing, more archery though. Gun ranges are cool. Just went again this weekend. I've shot more rounds in my gun than my husband this year. :meanie: I've had my gun for a year and shot more than he has . 😛 I'm going for my CCL license tomorrow. Come on down to t-town as I have membership to an outdoor range and a selection of projectile devices 😉

I'm sorry to hear that Beary, I hope you're alright

would putting "Only Fags wear sweater vests" in my signature be frowned upon... even if it's just for this week :meanie:

dammit canuck--i had to do freakin' correlation crap tonight. i dunno what my prof was smokin when she made this homework. TONS of data.....i hate her homework b/c she'll give us 4 huge questions asking us to do the same thing over and over and over. tonight it was pearsons, spearmans, p-value. thank god for spss😡

Awwww, thanks everyone. I'm glad I found SDN, but more so that I found this thread.

this is pretty crazy... I guess back in 2003, there was a resolution in congress calling the Michigan-OSU Rivalry the greatest in all of sports

http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c108:H.+Res.+460:

I have the feeling a few soccer clubs (football) would disagree with that. I still think the Yankees - Red Sox is even larger. Just think about the size of the two cities and States...

I saw it mentioned on ESPN today about the poll they did. I feel that's too narrow of an outlet to poll people. Not many people visit ESPN.com frequently and don't hear about the polls much. I don't even bother voting on polls when I see them. The only time I do is when a team/player I like is on it, but even then I don't really care much. I'm sure if you saw who actually voted, the vast majority are either OSU or Michigan fans...

Michigan sells more trademarked merchandise than any other school in the country, so I'm sure there are lots of Michigan fans out there who would vote for them 👍

For football clubs, I'd think Manchester United-Liverpool, Celtic-Rangers, Real Madrid-Barcelona, or AC Milan-Inter Milan might take the cake... or even in Krakow, Poland where the two teams fans Wisla-Cracovia have combined for about 7 murders in the last year...

NYY-Bos is probably pretty close though

and I have seen these polls done during the Baseball season also when all the hype is around the Red Sox and Yankees 👍
Can you really have such a one-sided rivalary though?

Talk about devotion. I don't think any US rivalry tops some the **** those crazy fans pull. 👍

Thought I'd mix things up for Beary/UMP and Nikki.

that first one was original I guess... the third one is re-used from a popular European ad that I've seen many times before.

I have to say OSU fans have a LOT more time on their hands and in front of the computer...

At least Photoshop skills go to the Buckeyes. Look at how terrible this Michigan fan's skills are making fun of Maurice. Btw, they should've used an orange jump suit instead of the old fashion white and black stripes. It took a while for me to realize he wasn't supposed to be a ref, lol. Hopefully his prison cell has a tv.

the OSU fans are like that annoying little brother with the giant inferiority complex

toothless inbred *****s 😉

wait.. I'm confused...

how can I be stupid for having a gap between my teeth if I'm toothless b/c I'm from OH? 😕

you're not good at this "pointless trash-talking" jlw... you're supposed to respond to nonsense with nonsense

Boston Red Sox Win Bidding for Star Japanese Pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka With $51.1M Offer

TOKYO — The Boston Red Sox emerged Tuesday night as winners of the bidding for Daisuke Matsuzaka with a $51.1 million offer and have 30 days to sign the Japanese pitcher to a contract.

The Seibu Lions of Japan's Pacific League announced they had accepted the high bid for their prized pitcher, and the major league commissioner's office simultaneously confirmed at the general managers' meetings that the Red Sox had made the offer.

"We're very pleased and excited. We've long admired Mr. Matsuzaka," Boston general manager Theo Epstein said. "Matsuzaka has a real talent. He would be a great fit with the Red Sox organization.

"We're excited to have won this part of the process. We're hopeful we can reach an agreement."

Even before the announcement, general managers had assumed Boston would be the highest bidder in the blind process.

"We'll congratulate the winner and move on," New York Yankees GM Brian Cashman said Tuesday afternoon.

Matsuzaka is represented by Scott Boras, who last year negotiated the deal that moved center fielder Johnny Damon from the Red Sox to the Yankees.

"Pitching, as usual, is at a premium," Boras said.

that's insane... that wouldn't make the soccer top 10 transfer list though... highest one was "headbutt" Zidane from Juventus to Real Madrid for $90 million back in 2001 ... insanity
