Forget anything you've heard about the girl who died here from arsenic poisoning. That was a long time ago, and she's still alive, anyway... just busy so she doesn't come in as much. Besides, a little arsenic adds a lot of flavor to just about any dish.

Pretty flowers by the entrance, hey? Lilis, they are. Beautiful. And the music is totally hopping... we have our very own DJ. Looks a little like Brad Pitt.

Apparently the program director claims that you need a 30. I asked that it was the joint PhD program with the med school that required a 30 and he said yes ... I didn't get why MASTERs candidates need 30 😕

My PI said not to worry about it though ... and not to take GRE but I'm still going ot probably study and take it in January if I don't have things straightened out by then on whether I can just take MCAT. I really do NOT want to take the GRE. I'd take the MCAT over GRE anyday. How sick is that? I suck at verbal stuff on that test :scared:

def find out about it mush, what a waste it would be to study for a test you dont need.

as for preferring to take the mcat over the gre... yeah, you're a TOTAL premed. :laugh:

is this a 1 yr masters that funnels into a medical school?

no, not directly and its not advertised as such but many use the program for this route.

And yes, I'm not taking it unless I NEED to take it but if I don't get a definitive answer soon then I have to take GRE b/c I won't have time once semester swings into high gear (with MCAT studying!@)

I'm just starting to get there. It has taken me all these days to even semi-decompress and start to feel like myself. :scared:

Hey, I'm still here! 😀

Going to have dinner with my folks and then go to Best Buy to help them choose a new computer (theirs died). Any suggestions as to which brand? I like Sony, my dad likes Dell. They're not mac people and are looking for a desktop.

i usually go with HP, i got my first Dell last year when i bought a new laptop. so far its been ok, no real complaints.

just make sure you get a system that can handle WoW very well, you'll need it when you visit. 😀

i loooove me some eggnog. but even better than eggnog is SILK nog! no eggs, not too fattening, but yummy yummy! 😀

woman you live in boston, ie the dunkin donut capital of the world. you better be chugging down that SILK nog wtih a half dozen donuts or you will be run out of town on the T. :laugh:

i'd say get a dell and have them extend the warranty for as long as possible (i think it's 4 yrs for laptop...may be longer for a desktop). if any parts are problematic, they will replace with new or refurbished parts as long as it's covered under the warranty. also, i suggest upgrading memory/storage to as much as they can afford. it's MUCH cheaper to do that when buying a computer than having to do it later.
