seriously- I was at the salon tonight (my hair is now actually DARKER than my natural color) reading a People magazine, and they said that they got Savion Glover to choreograph the penguins dancing in Happy Feet. he had to watch documentaries to see how they move, and said it was tough not being able to bend his arms.

yes, but you see, MY math gives me a number which is .4 points below the "A" cutoff, giving me an "A-".... so that's really what I was expecting as she has an adamant "no curving" policy. so I'm pretty sure she did some, um... "fuzzy math" to get me there. wheeeee!!! 😀

I quit Kaplan tonight. I must have been insane when I thought I could do this crap. 😱 Beginning to wonder if I'm even cut out for med school. 🙁

anastasis, dont sweat the kaplan thing. i loved being a TA in college and thought i'd like teaching for kaplan, wasnt my thing either. besides, i couldnt keep it up during med school. i barely had time to breathe that first year.

ana--this has nothing to do with whether you are cut out for med school or not. so you don't like lecturing to a bunch of anal pre-meds.......who could blame you? 😍

lol - no, I just freeze. I know everything cold walking in to the teachback and within seconds I forget everything I've ever known. 🙁

remind me of that when I'm failing the class because I decided to take the class that has multivariable calc as a prereq instead of the easy no calculus class (this calc class is offered at a better time for me!!!)

I haven't used calculus, let alone multivariable for YEARS!!!

I agree...Ana, this seriously has nothing to do with anything but (public speaking frankly)...I bet you that has something BIG to do with it...somehow. 😉 But, don't doubt yourself. Seriously, you are going to do great. Kaplan is not med school.

listen dr.texas, you are going to be a great doc. med school is NOT hard, its just really time consuming and really fast paced. i swear, that sounds so crazy but its true. this fall you will be doing what you've wanted to do your entire life, learning just about the human body and medicine. keep looking forward to this fall, all this means is that now you have more time on your hands to drink beer and lasso steers or whatever the hell else you do in texas. 😉 😎

Med school is going to kick my butt. We have traditional structure and class from 8-5 most days and from talking to the first years, everyone goes to class.

I'm not sure when I'll have time to study and be a decent mom to my kids.

So long sleep I guess!! :laugh:
