Those prices are awesome! I searched for homes in my area and 90% of them are for sale at a higher price than their "Zestimate" 🙄

Wesley Snipe's house was foreclosed on a few years ago here in Orlando (technically Windermere, FL, just outside city limits). He bought the place for $1,050,000 around '92 and it was forceclosed in late '04. Guess how much it sold for...$635,900. Yes, under 2/3 value from a decade ago.

I was shocked. I couldn't believe a house in that neighborhood would sell for so low since it's value was over $2 million. The home only has one neighbor, and that's Tiger Woods. Lake front house and 7,400 sq ft. Shaq lives in the same neighborhood as well as some famous golfers like Arnold Palmer (at the time).

And here's the kicker. It sold for $2,700,000 in late '06. A cool 2 mill profit for living in the house for under 2 years. Damnit! 😡

I don't know if I'd want to buy a house that was reposessed. It screams bad karma to me

That was a month ago I think.

It wasn't as bad as the last test - I think he was good about taking criticism from other people in the class that the last test was too long. I'm not sure I did so hot on it, but I didn't leave feeling as awful as last time.

My folks and grandmother are coming to visit this weekend. I have been working SO hard and am SOOOOOO tired and really could just use some time by myself. How mean is it if I told them not to come? 🙁

So anyone know how to figure out what size a woman wears in men's clothes? Jacket sizes are 32, 34, 36, etc. Websites say to measure the fullest part of the chest which is totally different for girls and guys.

I'm so not thrilled about the idea of wearing a men's coat. A women's coat would look so much better. We have completely different body types you know??

I'm probably being too vain. 😉 😳

What jackets? Your white coats?? I thought white coats were more unisex then being fitted to a particular sex.

Hello! Yeah my med school white coat fit like garbage. You will be able to go to a medical supply store and get a better fitting short white coat for like 15 bucks or so - that's what I did. 🙂

Hehe, yeah I guess I could do that. The darn thing is embroidered or something, though so I might be stuck wearing the one they give us.

Hopefully it won't be too bad. I'll just order the size I think I am and hope for the best. Or I could be an annoying obsessive pre-med and e-mail the lady coordinating it to see if they have any extras to try on before ordering. They deal with med students daily - they must be used to this obsessing right?

that's why I'm soooooooo excited. my physics prof had my stuff since January (resume, Interfolio instructions). emailed her in March, sent her my PS... saw her in the hall 3 weeks ago... finally sent her an email Wed this week and was getting a bit worried.

but as of last night, 6:30pm- it's IN! 😀

the two I'm waiting on are the physicians I work with (one psych, one peds), both of whom have all the above info/instructions but only since March. they've got their deadlines (May 15), and I talk with them all the time so I can keep on them if it's getting close..

I asked my physics professor early last month and I told him I needed it by the end of this month. He said to remind him by email and I did but who knows if he even checks his email. 😳

I went to her office but she was with someone. So when I emailed her, I said "I came to your office at this time but you were talking with XXXXX so I'm emailing you."

i would walk over to his office but the only problem is, it's really really far away. Storming that office is probably my last minute resort in my worst case scenario.

alternatively, Funk, if you believe in magical thinking and that kind of stuff, you could place a phone call to Type A and bitch to her about how frustrated you're getting that the letter is not in yet. that way, when you hang up the phone and immediately check your email, it will have arrived. then you just have to call her back and say "you aren't going to believe this." 👍
