Awwwww sorry to hear how your shelf went. Kind of freaks me out. Hope I'll be ready when I'm at that stage in my life. Sounds like the MCAT multiplied by 1 bajillion in difficulty.

Yeah....pretty scary. Hope you did well. Maybe you'll do better then expected and if you end up having to retake it you'll know what to do for next time. But you know? I don't think you'll have to retake it. However, I wish you luck and you'll be in my thoughts as you wait. BTW: Never knew that you were considering IM. What subspecialty within IM is on your list?? Or is it general IM? Somehow, I gather you'd probably do a subspecialty rather then general IM.

Good luck. In the meanwhile, concentrate on surgery and time will be gone before you know it.

Poor Chief Illiniwec. He is no more. 🙁 Stupid political correctness!

And update for you guys - My early intervention credential is restored!!!! I can take on new clients!!!!!! When it lapsed, I was still able to see the clients I had authorizations for, but couldn't take new ones. Now everything is A-OK and it's good until 1-31-2010. *whew* BIG lesson learned - be on top of professional licensure/endorsements!

I hate group lab reports - I'm in a group with 2 others and they still have not done their parts, and it's due Monday. They live 30 miles from me and don't check their e-mail very often.

I even had the hard parts - discussion and results! We're going to end up with a bad grade, I just know it. I should probably just write the rest of it just in case. (BTW, we've had 2.5 weeks to do the lab and work on the report!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Heh, I always lived in single story apartment buildings. 🙂 Well, the last year it was a two story, but our apartment was two floors so I could tell my roommates upstairs to stfu when needed. 😀

😱 That's really strange because I did the same yesterday. However, I used a number 4 trimmer (1/2"). Last time I cut my hair off was March 2005. I look like I was just in the hospital. 😳 I suppose that's the case because I was in the hospital when I cut my hair like that.

Her's looks really bad, though...

But hey, at least the drapes match the curtains in her case now or lack thereof.

My hair used to keep my head warm. It was 31 last night. :scared: I have to wear a beanie now (tuque for the Canadians).

Alright peeps, time for a Durden - Will showdown in Nashvegas. Put it on CBS for the Vandy - Florida game unless you get the Army-Navy or UCLA game.

Vandy is a team that lives and dies off the 3. So far, they're making them, but we're not even covering those guys. 🙁 They were getting a lot of points in transition as well since our defense couldn't get set.

Durden, I called it! 17 game streak game to an end, again, in the State of Tennessee. 😳

Some jackasses on the OSU forum are saying Vandy is a "below average" team. My oh my they got a word from me on that. No one will smack talk an SEC team and get away with it. Vandy beat something like 5 ranked teams so far, will be in the top 25, and are 2nd in the SEC right now record-wise, which happens to be the #1 conference in the nation according to the "RPI," which those Buckeyes seem to love so much.

If you can tell, I'm not a fan of the Buckeyes. FWIW, the Gators' mens golf team (ranked #1 in the nation btw) destroyed the Buckeyes golf team last Sunday.

I've been rooting for the Mich bball team. Halftime and it's 25-18. Are you happy with Webber coming back to the MI? He'll be like the Rasheed of the Pistons a few years ago. Help them get back to a championship.

P.S. The Pistons are still like the Magic so I will take pride in Piston victories. Chris Webber was the #1 overall draft pick to the ORLANDO MAGIC. Traded to the Warriors for Penny of course, but still a Magic. Feb 28th is taking forever for Wayne St, is it not?

Yes, you definitely called this one. Some ESPN announcer jackass said something along the lines of "those who weren't in the library rushed the court." Pissed me off, because they don't say **** like that with other private schools.

Some of my favorite signs from the game included:
"Hardaway hates Humphery" - not exactly PC, but amusing nonetheless
"It's snowing outside, but raining threes in here"
"Stand up old people!" - for the alums

The SEC fines schools who rush the court so expect to get a $5k fine or something. Some students started to push and mess with one of our players. Brandon Powell on the court, a freshman. He slugged a kid in the face and the kid fell to the floor. :laugh: (sorry, but I found it was funny 😳 ). He'll probably get suspended as it was on national tv so it there is video tape of it. Although he may not get suspended since students aren't allowed on the court. It'll be intesting to see how it plays out.

But yes, it was raining 3s. Even under tight defense, they still nailed them and I was yelling like crazy. I guess now I know what it was like for the Vandy students the last time we played in Gville when we shot 75% in the second half.

I think this is our second violation, so we're probably looking at a lot more than $5k. Oh well, I can't think of a better use for a $2 billion endowment.

I didn't know about the punch though. Of course, things got a little crowded and chaotic for those of us on the court. 😉

Oh yeah, All Star dunk contest tonight on TNT. 8 PM ET I think. Dwight Howard will represent the Magic. One of the rare big men to be in a dunk contest. I hear he's going to "kiss the rim."

Volunteers are losing to the Gamecocks by 23 with a minute and half left. Same Gamecocks Vandy beat up on earlier this week.
