Ugh. I am up and have caught myself up on the thread. I feel awful. Geez. ENOUGH! I AM SICK OF BEING SICK. Nothing severe, but over and over and over and over again...come on! So, here I am, 4:something in the morning, awakened every hour...now sucking on a Cold-eeze. I ate some Chipotle Chicken Tenders last night and couldn't taste them! Come on! Ridiculous!

So, using this opportunity allow me to be the first to say "GOOD MORNING RANDOMVILLE!"

and good morning to you, too!

if you get me sick this weekend while we're sleeping together, I'll never forgive you. 😡 :meanie: 😆

whoa, what kind of randomite incest is going on?? 😛 😆

jk, it's OPM, right?

PW, feel better! 😍

Yeah, penguin wanted to get me in bed ...how convenient that suddenly there were only rooms with one bed. A coincidence? Me thinks not.

45 T would be hilarious!

Wow, wtf, so I'm browsing through my school's website, and apparently their residency requirement for a second degree is just 30 credits! Which I will have met by the end of next spring with my current plan, anyway. Should I just go for it and file for a degree? LOL. Then I could put "Jochi1543, BA, BS, MD" on my office door in the future.
Go for it! 😀

I ended up getting two degrees because otherwise I would have been out in 3 years and I wanted to use all my scholarship money :meanie:

Wah! Mine's still not there! When did you have yours sent? Mine was sent on Friday, the one over a week ago...👎
I had one sent may 15th and the same one sent may 25th, so I wouldn't know which one.

Question:

For your AMCAS PS did any of you not indent - just put everything in as one big paragraph to maximize character space????
My PS wasn't that long. But I'm sure if you don't indent, it wont make that big of a deal.

I didn't indent, I just hit enter twice after a paragraph ended so there was a blank line. But this was back in the Dark Ages of AMCAS too....

YAY!!!! My friend finally found my old advisor's e-mail address....she taught me in like 6 classes and supervised my senior thesis, so I was going to request a LOR from her, since some schools want letters from profs in your major. She left our school to go get a PhD elsewhere, so I couldn't find her contact info anywhere...

Gonna shoot the e-mail in a few.

"Uh, so, can you do me a favor..again!?" LOL.🙄

Lunch time.. woohoo. Bout to log in and see what's up in Chemistry, get my butt moving on it this afternoon after work.

I only have like 8 weeks to complete the course... 😱
You can do it! I did Orgo (labs and all) in less than 1.5 months! 1.5 months on the calendar, but I spent 2 of those weeks in NYC and Minneapolis, shopping and tripping balls, so those 2 weeks didn't really count - I read less than a chapter during that time.

cool 🙂 Just took my first quiz and made about a 75%, not bad considering I was "working" the whole time. haha. We can take it as many times as we want, so all good.

I just signed up to review yet another PS. Can someone please tell me to stop this self-destructive behaviour? LOL. :hardy:

I can't wait for tomorrow...

1) can finally send away those lab reports to my grader

2) can see if AMCAS finally got 1 of my 2 transcripts

3) can get $$$ and buy my ticket home 👍

4) hopefully my new Family Guy DVDs will finally arrive!
So it's Monday, and....

1) No $$$ to pay for the expensive Express Post service to send those lab reports

2) No transcripts received by AMCAS

3) no wire in my bank account yet, so no ticket and no money (see #1, again)

4) Family Guy DVDs not here.

 Aaahahh, I hate Mondays.👎

this is almost the end of another thread
good job postwhores!
Haha, sweet.👍

Just got into a pissing match with my stepfather....he decided to call me and offer his "advice" re: my resignation - more like, call me and scream stupid crap at me w/o knowing anything about the situation. Every single person who has listened to me rant about this job for the last 2 months has agreed with me that quitting was the best decision, I'm not just talking about those friends who've never held a full-time job - my old boss (from several jobs ago) who I'm still good friends with agreed with me completely. But of course my stepfather knows best!🙄 The best part of it is that he totally misses the fact that my monthly paycheck there has been less than $800 lately, so it's not like this job was my main source of income - he has all these visions of me starving under the bridge now. Well, I'll eat out less, that's true, and won't buy useless trinkets, but that's about it.

Anyway, he wouldn't shut up and kept screaming, so I threw my cellphone at the wall. God, I've got such a short fuse these days, it's not even funny - and I KNOW that my job is to blame for all of it.👎 Shoulda quit it 2 months ago!

i just saw some interesting videos about emos on youtube. They really are quite silly people arent they. I guess they should have been hugged more as kids.

Yo random peepz i'm back in the good ol' USA well have been back since May 27th. Just now finally getting around to not sleeping at odd hours of the day due to sickness and jet lag. haha

How's it going? What's everyone's summer plans?

Blah.. It's always fun to throw the cellphone, as long as it's in a nice carpeted room..:laugh:

Home from the office early today. Was up awfully late last night doing chem, so it's naptime here. Then resuming the excitement.

In other news (to add to the throwing cellphone woes around here), my phone's being stupid and hoarding text messages for hours, then delivering them all at once. Suppose its time to start looking for a new one.

Did you end up getting your MCAT scores back? Are you applying this year for med school?

Good luck with all that.

i went to India for 15 days or so. Well more like 18 if you include the flight time to and from India.

It was interesting to say the least to be back after a period of 13 years. A lot has changed especally in the city of Mumbai. there was a time when I'd walk the streets of Mumbai in 1994 with my parents and be scared to go anywhere alone cuz you'd see beggers everywhere along the roads and everything was so polluted and the roads were dirt roads with no proper traffic regulation. But how all that has changed now is amazing. Now it is more like a NYC or other major American or English city like London. Better roads and traffic regulations, less beggars, and since globalization is taking stock everywhere there are tons of the bigname European stores like Lord and Taylor, Catwalk, etc. There was even a LLadro store somewhere there. Restaurants have changed too. Now you get everything instead of just indian restaurants plus some of the big chains in America are there.

The other place where my family has changed a lot but yet not so much at the same time on another level. But Mumbai is the place to go if you are a westerner going to India and want to see one of the more modern and developed parts of india much less one of the more liberal areas where mixed marriages are more common and people are more career oriented rather then about fitting into traditional indian roles and so forth.

I once hated mumbai with a passion but this time it grew on me. Even the airport before wasn't air conditioned or high tech but now they are going modern too and really renovating the whole place.

But I'm glad to be back cuz Fl. is still home as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah 👎 on the scores, but retaking in August with high hopes. I'm studying about 4-6 hours a day, and understanding a LOT more than I did just two weeks ago, so things should be good in 65 days. I'm applying this cycle anyway, if I can get between 3-5 point increase on the MCAT i've got a great shot at my state school (and there's NO reason I can't do that).
