Hey, Pinguoin (or however that thing is spelled)...did I mention that THIS is what I wear to bed? 😆

hawt. *fans self*

btw, it's on for me spending the night with my friend on the way up, so I only have to drive half the distance that morning. should be able to get to you before noon. 👍

ps since I like you people, I'll let you just call me by my English name (Penguin) so people stop butchering the French spelling.

Horoscope time!

Today:

A new situation in your workplace means that you'll have more flexibility and freedom, but a few old structures might have to be torn down first. Knowing that you'll come out on top eases the transition.

How fitting.🙄

Tomorrow:

A very exciting opportunity will be dropped at your feet today -- but one or two problematic aspects may make it seem unfeasible at first. Don't reject this opportunity too hastily, though. After a little bit of consideration, your outlook may change dramatically. Be creative about your approach, and be prepared to give this your all. You will come away from this experience confident that you can do anything you set your mind to

Hmmmm...interesting!:meanie:

Anyone want me to look up their sign?:hardy:

Aquarius 😎
:hardy:

Some of your strong desires for achievement and advancement are fading right now -- but this is actually a very good thing. The answers to questions like 'What mountain am I going to climb next?' have been too much on your mind lately, and they've been distracting you from important priorities in the here and now. You've been looking at the horizon, but something really rewarding is right in front of you.

Ohhhh! Deep!

Rat Overview

Things are looking up for the Rat, as the Pig is a lot friendlier toward you than the Dog. You have a tremendous advantage of quickness over the Pig, so you can create lots of opportunities for yourself this year.
As with last year, however, ruling Fire puts you at a disadvantage as Fire and Water (your fixed element) spell disaster in Chinese. You can be a big winner this year if you realize that you may be your own worst enemy and do your best to avoid recklessness.

65% (9 favorable, 1 neutral and 2 unfavorable months)

Work life should proceed relatively smoothly. Merchants, bankers and salespeople could have a banner year.

Typically, the Rat is not a particularly sensual lover. There is passion, however, and it is likely to be stimulated this year by a new love interest.

The Pig means the Rat no harm, but there nevertheless are several unlucky stars influencing the Rat this year. They are most likely to affect the area of health. Don't be surprised if you become sick or feel run-down on more than one occasion. Give yourself a fighting chance by monitoring your health closely and eating a healthy diet.

Rats who work for commission or for themselves could make significant sums of money. The Pig smiles on honest commerce.

Dude, it's almost June, where's that new love interest? The guy at work doesn't count.👎

Metal Rooster
That 50% rating is an average that masks the fact you are likely to have some very good and bad luck this year. The Pig is generally good to the Rooster, but Fire is the enemy of Metal, your fixed element.

50% (5 favorable and 7 unfavorable months)

There is a greater likelihood of a significant problem instead of a promotion. This is definitely not the time to take chances, make a career change, have a personality conflict with the boss or bend the rules.

Your family can be a source of joy this year, so plan on doing a lot of things with them. This could include taking an extended vacation. It's also a good time to have a baby or get married. Your passions will be ignited, and love will find you. Go for it.

You are vulnerable to accidents. There could also be some health issues, especially stress-related ones resulting from difficult conditions at work. The wise Rooster must be careful not to ruffle any feathers.

You could come into money this year. This could be from an unexpected source, but it could also be a normal result of your investments.

LOL!!! This is 2x as interesting for me since my father is a rooster, too.:meanie:

Holla fellow Rat! I was gonna get a tattoo of my chinese zodiac on the wrist a few years ago. lol.
:hardy:

Though the Western rat is reviled as little more than a bottom-dwelling disease carrier, this animal is viewed much differently in the East. The Eastern rat is revered for its quick wits and its ability to accrue and hold on to items of value; rats are considered a symbol of good luck and wealth in both China and Japan. Clever and quick-witted, the Rat of the Chinese Zodiac is utterly disarming to boot. Possessed of excellent taste, this Sign flaunts its style at every turn. Its natural charm and sharp, funny demeanor make it an appealing friend for almost anyone. The Rat likes to know who is on its side and will treat its most loyal friends with an extra measure of protection and generosity.

Behind that sweet smile, though, Rats are keen and unapologetic promoters of their own agendas. This Sign is motivated by its own interests, which often include money; greed can become a problem if the Rat isn't careful to keep its priorities straight. This Sign's natural powers of charm and persuasion can definitely come in handy! Although they are often hoarders, Rats can be very generous to those in their pack, namely friends and family members who have proven their loyalty. Others might perceive them as quick-tempered and sharp-tongued, but never boorish. Verbal jousting is a great pleasure for the Rat, a Sign that everyone around will quickly learn either to love or to hate.

Rats enjoy being on the outside looking in, as the outside affords a view into the inner workings of a system or situation. The Rat's keen mind always seeks out new knowledge, to be stored away for future use. This ever-curious Sign also welcomes challenges as a way to stay sharp. If boredom sets in the Rat is no fun at all, but that isn't likely; this Sign knows how to keep itself entertained.

A valuable lesson for Rats is to learn to consider others above themselves, at least sometimes. If they can develop their sense of self and realize it leaves room for others in their life as well, Rats could find true happiness.

😱

I actually watched 'A Baby Story' yesterday night. I must say, I don't think I want to do the midwife thing...If/when I deliver a baby, I'm going to make damn sure I have an epidural.

I was in for a total shock on Facebook today - was checking out a friend's profile (we haven't spoken in person for like a year now, since I've moved 1000 miles away). She majored in music and then went to grad school for music last fall. And now she's going into midwifery! I have not ONCE heard her express any interest in any of this stuff!😱 I briefly thought that it was a joke, but it's not, because she's actually in that university's network (the one where she registered for the midwifery program).

I dunno, it was just a huge surprise to me.😕

Okay, it is my bedtime. Although I am not tired, I will never get up in the morning if I don't make myself sleep now.

Yeah, I can understand why...that's a 180 degree switch, IMHO

The good news : very sure I am not getting bronchitis again.

The bad news : I am pretty sure that it is tonsillitis. 🙁 WTF? Geez. Come the heck on! This is extremely painful! No fever, so I am glad that it doesn't appear to be strep, but dang!

Good morning! Buenos Dias!

Today's going to be a looooooonnng day at work. Two of our best recruiters are on the road, so i'm going to be doing a lot of work (our other recruiters are... well... lazy at best).

Tonight's supposed to be A&P lab, but instead we're lecturing again so he can finish Endo. I think I was the only one who had "FLAT PIG" written on my paper in about a million spots Tuesday (everytime he mentioned the ant. pit). Nobody understands. Nobody but y'all....:laugh:

OK, so here's the plan:

10-noon: laze around online

noon-1: step class

1-2: take shower, eat lunch, drive to Green's Pop Shop, buy trout worms

2------> onwards: drive up to the mountains to fish, y'all

:hardy:

Halfway through my EK for today and studying aromatic/benzene compounds and rxs. Fun fun.
So did you get my EK books already, then?

My final on Wednesday has benzenes on it....that's the part where I was weak on and decided to reschedule. Lots of information to remember about what group activates for what and directs where.👎

not yet (arrived that is).. working through my 1001's. I'll be working on those as soon as they arrive, one reason why i'm pushing through the materials I have for now. Those are coming and the TPR Science Workbook. It's gonna be a busy summer, but lord knows I ought to be much more prepared!!!

This is me jealous: 😡

Have fun! It's way too hot here to be outside for any extended period of time. Well into the 90s and the "feels like" temp is supposed to reach 100. Yay for Texas in May!
