Despite the threat of being banned by certain evil Randomite moderators on power trips, I couldn't resist posting a nice set of breasts.

Happy Thanksgiving Randomites!

I feel ya T. it was very hot earlier today and now its abt 30 degrees colder and extremely windy (power went out at school). catching up on the house episode I missed earlier tonight, then headed to bed. its got abt 11 mins left. night guys!

It went great, CultureDoc. I needed about a 55 to keep an A average on my tests and feel like I pulled about a 90... hahaha.

Also we got our physics final today, it was take home, and I finished AND feel confident about it.

Two more tests.. one next tues and hopefully I'll find out about organic tomorrow... I'd like to get it over with next week as well (it is actually scheduled for the following tues).

No, our finals schedule isn't this drawn out... it's that the test I had today was our last test BEFORE the final, but I don't have to take the final... and the take home one he wanted us to have time to do.

Here's to 7 more days and 4 more A's! Dear Lord let this trimester settle down and quick!

Night guys. OChem bright and early in the AM, followed by frantic house cleaning for mother's visit.

Just made a 13 on AAMC 8 VR!!!

OMG. In shock.

:hardy::hardy::hardy:

Woohoo!!!!! WTG! :hardy: I feel like the verbal section is a matter of careful reading and seeing the tricks and pitfalls in the MCAT answer choices. The more verbal practice tests you take, the better. (had to find that out the hard way!) Sounds like you'll slaughter this beast in April!

In other news, I am becoming obsessed with the fact that time is running out to get interviews, and I still have 8 schools to hear from. I'm afraid to go to my mailbox, and I get ridiculously excited anytime I see that I have e-mail. (Typically, it's from Macy's . . . or Crate and Barrel . . . or my husband . . . grrrrr!!!!!!!!) Come on schools . . . give a girl some hope!!!!!

Haven't been on here forever!

Cliff's notes:

1) Rejection from top choice where I was 99% sure I'd get an interview 🙄

2) Interview offer from top choice where I thought my chances were so low, I regretted even paying the app fee 😱

3) First boxing fight next Saturday, still don't know who I'm fighting, possibly need to lose 6 lbs in 8 days :scared:

4) In the midst of a love triangle with 2 brothers. One is hot, but young and stupid, other one is ugly, but older and more fun to talk to. Oh, which one to choose? 😕

5) Growing my hair out just for the hell of it 👍

6) Research project consumes about as much time as my other 5 courses put together :scared:

7) Coaches want to put me into 2008 Silver Gloves in March 👍

I pretty much figured I won't be getting any more invites at this point, which was fine with me, because I had long determined that I wouldn't be able to afford to attend a US school, and even outside of the financial considerations, staying in Canada, doing an MSc, and applying again in Canada is much more appealing to me right now, anyway. I don't know if I'd ever apply to the US again if I don't get into Canadian schools this time, I'll see how I feel about things when it's time for the 2nd cycle in the second year of my master's, should I end up doing one.

hey jochi and funky!

was trying not to get too overly mcat-ish, but my practice test today just put me over the top. I'm starting to understand the concepts much more AND the test in and of itself. bring it on, april, bring it on.

had a decent evening... weather was awful and lots of tornado warnings. mom was driving up in it so that was a bit scary. its all passed by now and everyone is safe.

ready to start the weekend, but I'm still a few hrs of class and work away from it. at least its just show up for my friday class now... no more worries for tests! night guys! glad to see ya, jochi! 🙂

happy friday to all! stilll fighting yesterdays headache so I'm kinda in a mood, but it's friday (of 9th week no less!) so I'm not gonna let it get to me. one class and one tour (of 70 ppl) away from a weekend!

Snow storm here last evening! They predicted 4-6", and we got 8"! (I love snow when I don't have to shovel it! One plus to apartment living!) I think this may be the most snow we've had in one fell swoop since I moved to the 'Lou 4.5 yrs. ago . . . which of course has everyone here freaked out . . . and cracks me up because in my home state of Michigan, I don't think schools would get even get a snow day for 8".

So, anwyay, I made it into work, while most of my co-workers did not . . . yay for a nice, quiet office. 👍 I was completely blown away by the fact that my boss actually showed up, though. 😕 She's normally kind of a snow wimp, so I was NOT expecting that. 👎 Random musing: it's not like my boss is mean or unlikeable or peers over my shoulder or even that I slack off when she's out . . . but yet I find myself much more relaxed at work when she's not present, and I can't explain it!

Oh well! Happy Friday everyone!

yay for snow days culturedoc! and quiet offices!

just got a nice reward in cell phys... if we learned our last topic (glycolysis and krebs cycle) and did well on the test, we don't have to go back to class as of today. woohoo!! 🙂 waitin on my grade but I'm sure I made a 75 (the magic cutoff number).

ah yes, 8 inches of snow.. 😍 I met a friend for dinner last night and we talked for 5.5 hours! :wow: Drove home in the midst of the storm (yay for 4WD!) and slept until 11am b/c I don't have to work today until midnight.

Now I have to figure out whether I'm going to be "that neighbor" or whether I'm actually going to go out and shovel my driveway.

Our fearless leader deigned to grace us with his presence??????????? WHAT is this world coming to?????????????????

PS God bless the HS students who just knocked on my door offering to shovel my driveway for $25. With tip, best $30 I've spent in a while. 👍

The rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated. 😛

Thats awesome you dont have to shovel. I spent some time with my dad in NY this past december and hadnt seen snow in a few years. We got like 3-4 inches soon after i got there and he just handed me a shovel and told me to knock myself out, lol. That resulted in this freaking floridian shoveling snow for 4 hours.... at his house (a corner house), then at a second house he owns, then at a building he supervises, etc... i think he was trying to wipe that smile off my face when the snow had started. either that or he was trying to manipulate my rank list. hmm...

The worst was the blizzard a few years ago at Christmas where my mom's house got about 10 inches of snow topped by 3 inches of ice. (Bowtie will remember this.) My brother and I were standing on top of the snow without sinking down into it while attempting to chip through the ice to shovel her driveway. And when we opened my car door (I had a Saturn at the time), you had to step DOWN to get into the car. :scared: Weird, indeed.

BTW, it's not your car that's going to have issues in the snow, as much as it is you not being used to driving in it. As my friend from So Cal found out the hard way (unfortunately while I was a passenger), trying to make that quick turn will make you fishtail, even if you're in a Land Rover. 😡

oh man pinguin i know. i drove from NYC to Boston in a 2wd mazda 3, 2 days after boston got hit with that first snow storm this season. the day i drove out it was a mix of freezing rain and sleet the whole way there. the 3 hour drive took me like 5 with my crazy florida driving skills on the slushy interstates. seriously, i passed SEVEN wrecks on the way to boston. it was freaky. nikki just laughed when i told her in disbelief on AIM that my windshield wipers had frozen over and were encased in ice. to me it was something out of the twilight zone, to her it was absolutely normal. 😱

This is only the 2nd winter I've had my 4WD and I 😍 it more than life. :biglove:

lol- I just had to crack the ice off the wiper blades last night as I was de-snowing the car. I have an attached garage on the townhouse which is AWESOME in weather like this, except yesterday it snowed all day/evening while I was at work/out with a friend.

nice to see arsenic is back
and ive been on hiatus for a little bit
and no i didnt get any more invites 🙁

Not pretty here either...for those that drive anyway. For us apartment dwelling non-shovelling, non-driving people, it's not all that bad 😀

The problem was when the freezing rain came. I had to walk home in it and had a thin layer of ice on my coat, mittens, backpack and hat. And this is our second storm in a week. This was the worse of the two in terms of snowfall

And yes, 4WD makes a difference. When I do end up buying a car, it's a must!

Ah yes. The worst part of my drive home was when I finally got the car cleaned off enough to drive and got on the road, the snow clumps in my hair and on my scarf started to melt, hit the skin of my neck, and then rolled down my back under my sweater. 😱

Hang in there, Funky!! 😍

Made a 105 on the Cell Phys test that everyone else bombed... so I'm totally done with the course and have nothing else to turn in.
Three to go! Woohoo! It's going to be a great weekend!

Nah, your Civic could handle snow because it's FWD. Rear wheel drive cars have the most problem in snow. As long as you don't live out in the farm land, the plow trucks will make the roads suitable enough to get around town. Just don't wish for black ice. 😱 4wd won't even save you then...

Happy Groundhog Day, randomites!!

However, it must be as sunny a day in Punxsutawney, PA as it is here because Phil saw his shadow . . . 6 more weeks of winter. 👎 (Doesn't that seem a little backwards? . . . if it's sunny, wouldn't that seem to indicate that Spring is around the corner and not the other way around?? 😕) Oh well . . .

The three Canadian groundhogs say that there's gonna be an early spring...but I'm quite skeptical since we got over a foot of snow yesterday, and then some freezing rain for good measure 👎. Doesn't feel very spring-like to me
