I broke so many vhs tapes from overuse and/or vcrs eating them...

at least dvds can't be "eaten".

digging priceless vhs tapes out of the vcr (and dismantling the vcr beyond belief in the meantime) could be very stressful...

I have a meeting/presentation/program for work tonight... have to be there from 5-730. ugh. then I need to proof an orgo paper, write up a handout for orgo presentation, and study for tomorrow nights final in a & d.

Look what I started! :laugh:

My father-in-law definitely thought that laser-disc was going to be "it" and voraciously bought all the coolest laser-disc stuff when it first came out. 😳 Thankfully, I've never been an early adopter for ANYTHING, so I've saved myself from some of these types of costly mistakes. And, by the time I've adopted, everything is cheaper and better! 😎 Of course, the downside is that I'm "dated" in the meantime . . .

I wish someone had informed my dog . . . just as we thought her puppyhood shenanigans were almost over, she chewed up a DVD we left out on the coffee table. I think that took the cake as the wierdest thing she ever destroyed!

Yeah, it was completely random! Never before and never since . . . we must have really been ignoring her that day! Or perhaps that particular DVD smelled awfully tasty . . . we'll never know! :laugh:

Ok, I really want to watch this creepy dancing lizards thing now . . . but I don't have my headphones with me, and I'm at work . . . guess it will have to wait until later. 🙁

the sb commercials this year were pretty bad
like the one with the heart coming out of the woman's chest.

Totally pwned last week's organic test... got it back this morning.. 98%! Woohooo! My A is secure. We still have a final 👎 but I should be in fairly good shape anyway.

Horrid weather coming in a couple hours from now... hoping to be done with tonight's final (alcohol & drug) and home before all hell breaks loose.

Two down, two to go. I can't wait to see Friday!

I don't find the lizards all that creepy, but then again I remember having a Brownie slumber party for the world premiere of the Thriller video back in 198x. 😳 It's near and dear to my heart.

Now, the clip Durden posted.. that's just disturbing.

thanks canuck! yes... i totally saw that. saw it on espn first then watched it like 20 times on youtube! i wish i could see the alternate version they made in case the pats had won though.

Oh man, I totally want to see that movie. It looks AWESOME.

Did anyone see "Anatomy"? It was an after dark horror "8 films to die for" from last year.

Severe weather outbreak here tonight. No deaths around H'burg/Jxn, but a ton of injuries in Oxford near Ole Miss, and I'm sure you've all heard about the disastrous weather in Memphis.... no good, no good.

I hate bad weather, especially at night. And we're under the gun until at least 5 AM. 🙁 Guess I better get some sleep while I can.... 😴

YES! i thought the same thing, at first i thought it might be an "Anatomy" remake for the US since that one was set in Germany. pretty interesting concept for a movie, last thing i would have expected was a movie on pathology residents.

Yeah, I was curious about the alternative version too...but I'm sure it's not nearly as good as this one 😀

I like Thriller, but I too was creeped out by the lizards. Something about little critters running afoot gives me the heebie jeebies

Have one more to go then hard core reviewing of the material over these next four days along with host parasite interactions course material for that test on next Thursday.

so sleepy this morning... but I slept well. went to bed with a migraine... sometimes I think I sleep well and I really don't, that must be the issue.

I shall be spending the rest of the day with my organic test.

first year is insane. and i hear it only gets worse. can't wait! i'm super busy...i haven't talked to my friends in months, and oh yeah, i'm supposed to start doing research too?? 😱

a great friend of mine from college was coaching basketball tonight so I went to watch and catch up with him... fun times 🙂

one of the pats was there, bobby hamilton. He's an alum of my brother in law's school (the opposing team to my college friend's). Pretty interestin! But I'm still a NY fan 🙂

Ok, I was about to check this thread but got distracted by the "everyone is taking adderall" thread . . . and when I read the first post, I totally thought it was a joke -- maybe a parody of the whole baseball steriod issue. But it wasn't. Um . . . yikes. The pre-allos scare me. :scared: And, naturally, it devloved into a stupid fight, and I couldn't get past the 1st page. :laugh:

Anyway, back to the randomness! Recalling an old "conversation" about how I don't use my crock pot, I have to share that I pulled it out yesterday, literally washed the dust off, and made a fantastic "South of the Border Stew" from my book of "Easy Slow Cooker Recipes" (which I also had to dust off). I must say, I'm pathetic! That was easy! Why don't I do stuff like that more often?? Must be my "must have food NOW" mentality. It was kind of torturous to smell it cooking all day. 😛
