Grrr, cranky today.....we were gonna go camping, but the man has to go up North tomorrow evening to help his brother out with smth, and that'd be a 3-4 hour drive from our camping spot, so it's useless to go today. And then Tuesday I have a Dr's appt and volunteering, so we can't go then, either - we wouldn't get there until after dark. So now I'm stuck here till Wednesday! Rather disappointed, because I studied my @$$ off over the course of the last few days just so I could go away for a few days and forget about physics, but since I don't have any more secondaries, I have nothing else to do but work on my physics labs and final prep for the next 3 days.👎 Hopefully I get verified tomorrow, so I can distract myself with some secondaries!

My microbio labs are on Sept 22nd and 23rd (the first set, then the second is a week later), and my prof said I need to finish the first 4 chapters before that, so I think I'll slowly start reading today, since I have no secondaries left and already did all I could with physics for today. I hope this book doesn't have too many chapters.:scared: I'll be out for town for about 2 weeks in late August/early September, so I probably won't read anything during that time.

Oh no, I just started this morning... :laugh::laugh: (and went visiting family about 3 hrs in the middle of the day). If I can finish/get close to finishing this one today, I can do half of physics tomorrow and start typing my notes. I should definitely be able to pre-read through all my books, I'm glad I went ahead and got started. I always feel much better prepared 🙂

Oh, tonight's the best night to watch the annual meteor shower, and it's supposed to be especially spectacular in Western US and Canada!

totals for the day: 10 chapters of micro and 4 chapters of phys. not bad at all. making progress. think i'll actually be able to finish everything I want to before school starts... one week left. 8 chapters of micro, 12 of phys, 13 of chem... and my adv book (which I haven't got yet). gen bio is a joke, no reading for that. lol.

Haha, he made up for it last night....somewhat...lol. We drove 5 mins out of town with a pair of folding chairs and just watched it in the middle of a wheat field.:hardy:





On another glorious note:

1) AMCAS VERIFIED!!!!

2) AMCAS GPA RAISED!!!! They boosted my BCPM from 3.35 to a much more respectable 3.45! And cumulative is up from 3.52 to 3.54! YAY!:hardy:

Hey guys! Glad you had a good first lab PB. I made it home and cleaned house - top to bottom. Always a blast.

Tomorrow,I'm getting back on secondaries 🙂

Thanks....I was verified at 3 PM EST and have already received 3 secondaries and one "we screen, so we'll get back to you" e-mail. I'm worried about tomorrow!:scared: I'm gonna try and get all the 3 secondaries out today (already sent 1 and almost finished with the next one).

yes it was. congrats on all the secondaries already jochi. mine turn around time is much slower than that... haha. I'm gonna try and get mine done for the most part tom tho.

updat on grandfather: they're going to start him on a rigorous di6nostic chemo for 6 weeks and see if there are any changes in bloodwork. hopefully thisll help.

I'm beat abd finally after a week of running around the south back in my own bed... so buenos noches amigos.

OMG there is SO freaking much to read. I've taken to getting up at least 2 hours before I planned to just to get done with the reading (b/c I've realized that I totally zone out after about 8 or 9 pm).

How are the applications coming?

I've noticed you got up earlier than usual. Guess you gotta get into med school shape. 🙂

I have one more app to finish and one more essay to write in that app. Damn you SB for requiring 3 essays! *shakes fist*
Some of my secondary essays are pure diaherra.

The best part of waking up is knowing that you don't have to be anywhere until 2 hours later and that you're gonna have chocolate-dipped strawberries for breakfast.:hardy:
