Been cleaning house for the last two hours or so and i'm beat. Gotta love those "activity points" for Weight Watchers though 🙂

Was going to take a nap, but i'm expecting a delivery from UPS sometime today (a bridesmaids dress that will actually fit instead of that impossible "2" they ordered for me... even weight watchers could never get me in a two. I have NO idea what happened with that order.

Edit: It actually just arrived, so I can nap after all. AND ... it fits! Praise God for small (no, make that much larger 😉) miracles!

Awesome.

Just submitted another lab report for chem and about to take a nap. Cleaning makes me so sick sometimes.. those microbes and dust particles. Bad sinus headache and cant breathe. Yuck.

I'm out for about an hour. Hope everyone's having a great day.

I got stopped at a state sobriety checkpoint on the way home tonight (it was ~1:30 am). Man, those things are really nerve-wracking. Well, my state inspection sticker expired 8-31-2007, which I didn't realize, and this is how the conversation went down:

Officer: "Good evening. May I see your license please?"
Me: "Sure." (hands license to officer)
Officer: "Okay. Is this address current?"
Me: "Yes sir."
Officer: "Do you have any legal violations on your vehicle tonight?"
Me: "Uh, no sir?"
Officer: "What's today's date?"
Me: "Ummmmm..... August..."
Officer: "Try again."
Me: "Oh.... September 1st." (Duh!)
Officer: "When does your state inspection sticker expire?"
Me: (Looks at inspection sticker on windshield) "Uh, August seventh." (D'oh!)
Officer: "No, August 2007. Now, do you have any legal violations on your vehicle tonight?"
Me: "Yes, sir."
Officer: "And what would that be?"
Me: "My state inspection sticker is out of date."
Officer: "Can I expect that to be taken care of in the morning."
Me: "Yes sir."
Officer: "Okay. Have a good night."

Wow.... I drove away from that interaction extremely flustered. I'm sorry that my inspection is 1.5 hours out of date! You don't have to rub it in my face! Anyway, I've got to get up early and fine a state inspection place tomorrow before work. Damn sobriety checkpoint. The officer probably thought I was halfway drunk. 😳

I'm watching football and love football too.

But, my first game of the season:
Appalachian State, division 1-AA, 34
Michigan, #5 in the country, 32

This happened in Ann Arbor. Things are going to be VERY VERY VERY BAD around here.

First time in all of history a ranked 1A team has lost to a 1AA team.

yeah definitely... michigan is my aunts favorite team too so I heard about that upset. I was proud of VTech tho, and LSU beat Miss State (surprise surprise) on thurs. ole miss plays tonight.. that may be where I'm going to med school so gotta catch that one 🙂

food at the birthday shindig was great but sooo rich. I was incredibly sick when I got back to my parents. grr.
least I don't have to drive home tomorrow.. staying here til monday. everyone else must be studying and or actually out, its quiet around here

Hey Nikki,

Looks like A-man posted a new blog. Pretty interesting about his experience on his trauma rotation and a memorable case of a guy who had a severe industrial accident. There's a youtube link to with the pictures of the patients arm and the xrays. Its so sad but at least he survived and lived.

Happy Labor Day, everyone! Anyone got any special plans?

In the morning to afternoon, two of my best friends and I are having ourselves a little "America's Next Top Model" marathon. We're currently watching Cycle 4. That show is such a guilty pleasure, it's not even funny!

Fortunately I enjoy Michigan football but my heart is still with the Huskers for sure. They looked good on Saturday so that helped somewhat. Though it isn't going to help things at work in the near future. :scared:

Most of my extended family is Ohio State fans so I have been getting lots of little emails and such from them. 🙂

How's med school treating you Durden?

I'm about to get back into a relationship with chem labs.. for the remainder of the afternoon. Oh well, gotta make the day productive.

I thought i was going to ruin my chem experiment cause I was sneezing so much! :laugh::laugh:

Took some airborne and praying the sneezes go away by tomorrow. I keep putting off getting sick (thank goodness)... a few more days would be nice though. Its a busy week.

😍 Glad to hear you got over it. If it makes you feel any better, I'm pretty sure Duke has the longest current D1 losing streak.

Med skool is treating me great so far. Only two more weeks though of pure P/F coursework. :scared:
