So I woke up today because someone was banging on my door very intently...I thought it was my landlord, so I hid :scared: but they kept buzzing and knocking, so I finally went outside - there were 2 techs from my ISP! I love how they just show up without calling you and saying "hey, we can get you an earlier appointment, want us to come by?" first! 🙄 I might not even have been here! Anyway, they fixed my net, so now I can waste time from the comfort of my own home again...:meanie:

And speaking of wasting time, I decided to step down as an AsstMod...too busy now. I told Q yesterday, and I thought I'd not have my green icon by now, but maybe they are gonna leave it up? Anyway, just thought I'd let everyone know not to come to me with their troubles anymore...🙄 :meanie: :laugh:

Got a ton of stuff done yesterday, then spent the majority of the morning grocery shopping and had lunch with my sister and brother in law.

My movie buddy is headed to work in about an hour, so its back to productivity for me. Woohoo.

Reminds me of my first day TAing this semester. It's a computer lab in the basement of a building, so bugs find it appealing I guess. Anyway, the prof is lecturing away, and all of a sudden there's a squeal and a big commotion in the back corner of the class. There was a huge centipede scurrying around and for some reason, the students were asking me to take care of it :d Luckily, I had my trusty tissues with me and killed it. I nearly passed out from the grossness...the bug was split in two pieces, with legs on both moving around :barf:

I don't think bug killing was in my contract. Perhaps I should charge extra? :meanie:

I know, none of my friends did well (i.e. met the cut-offs for Canadian schools). Everyone I know is either rewriting or still waiting for score release from this month's MCAT. It reminds me how lucky I am to have hit the cut-offs on my first try.:scared:

Not me! I hit my highest practice test score on the real deal, and got a sweet WS score too. I feel very fortunate to have done well. I have a lot of friends that are going to have to retake it, though. Good luck to all of you that are going to retake!

I really don't think pathology is in my future (sorry HOHO!). I just can't even force myself to be interested in histology. I'm liking human behavior more than histology and I never would have predicted that going into med school.

that is so sick. i was so scared of the one in my house that i smashed it excessively then had to clean buggy guts off my wall.

thankfully i can't recall a time that i've ever seen a scary bug in our school. i seriously don't know how i grew up in florida--back then i pretty much had no fear of bugs b/c they were just everywhere

OK, so I'm making this strawberry pie and it's a total improvisation....the crust has flour, butter, eggs, milk, sugar, and white hot chocolate mix in it...and I put white hot chocolate in the strawberry filling, too. I hope it works out.:scared:

OMG. I haven't started studying for my final yet. It's this Friday. I'm stressed, but exhibiting avoidance behavior towards it. I need to get my butt in gear and start studying. I'm outta here. :scared:

We haven't done any immunology, so I don't hate it yet. 😉 Histology is WAY up there on my list of subjects I suck at right now. I can look at slides and identify stuff no problem - it's all the little details they expect us to know for the written test that is going to kill me.

Rumor has is that the average score on the first histo exam for last year's class was a 40-something %. That has me scared to death.

Yeah, having to know all the miniscule details does suck. If I could redo undergrad/post-bacc, I would have taken definitely taken Histology, Immunology, and Microbiology, among other things.

ok guys, my first anatomy exam is tomorrow...wish me luck!!

i just took a practice test and scored a 70 (just barely a pass by our grades), so i'm not too thrilled. 🙁

Mmmm. You're making me hungry! I want to bake cookies, but had to toss out my dollar store cookie sheets out (little bits of rust on them) and haven't replaced them yet. I suppose it's just as well, because I have a whole lotta other work to do, but I always find *something* to do to procrastinate. But cookies are a great by-product of procrastination. I guess I'll have to settle for clean windows 😳
