OMG, first interview!:hardy: Case Western of all places.😱 Talked to a friend who owns the MSAR, he said their averages are 3.7 and 34. Talk about interviewing for the waitlist.:laugh:

Gonna call Friday and schedule a date.👍

Indeed. I hate hurricanes/tropical systems. 🙁 The low pressure gives me migraines, and all the rain is a pain. If they are bad enough, the whole no-power and nothing to do is a pain too. Crossing fingers this one is just a weekend rainmaker.

The hurricane hunters are flying in now, so we'll know more in a couple hours.

seems like no news is good news... every hour that the system hasn't developed yet is one hour closer to a rainy weekend WITH power (aka, lots of movies and internet time).

The grocery was still a disaster, as was the gas station. Loaded up with library books too, just in case. Gotta have SOMETHING to do. 🙂

Oh my GOODNESS! I need to hang my curtains back up!!!!


I'm sitting here right by my window, engrossed in my homework when I notice something moving, raise my eyes, and see that there's this dirty homeless man peering in my window. I was like, WTFFFF!!!!??😱 (I live alone) So I go out to my door, but he runs away....I'm like, great, I have to sleep with a knife and a cellphone by my bed tonight...🙄 So I go back to my desk, sit down, and he's there with his nose against my window again, gesturing widely.:scared: So I turn all the lights in the yard on, open the door, and tell him to get the hell outta my yard...he's like "I'm looking for a homeless shelter." I'm like, "Well, this is not a homeless shelter, this is my HOUSE. The homeless shelter is under the bridge." So I showed him where to go and he went away....but WTF!!!!??? How long had he been standing there and watching me!? And if he really only wanted to know where the shelter was, why did he stand there and stare at me until I looked up instead of just knocking!? AAAAAHHH!!!!

I'm freaked out right now!:scared:👎 The downsides of living on the first floor!

Uh oh! Just logged into the Minnesota secondary for the first time and they say there are 2 waves of applicants: those who are complete before October 15th (notified by Dec. 15th) and those after, who are notified of decisions by March 15th...I better hurry! Wrote answers to some of the easier questions, and I'm gonna send my LORs there now...I gotta make sure all my stuff is there by October 15th, it's one of my top choices!:scared:

Submitted OMSAS, the Ontario school application, last night...I feel so relieved! Definitely feel relieved of $350 CAD, that's for sure.🙄

Now I have to edit my Calgary essay, I decided that I wanted to answer the second question ("how to improve the medical profession") differently. My original answer was about making med school and residency more woman- and parent-friendly, but I think I've got a much better idea that makes things better not just for the doctors, but for the patients, too.:idea:

Scheduled my interview for early November...I was kind of relieved that October was all booked, I'm gonna be super-busy with school for the next 3-4 weeks starting tomorrow...🙄

Chem test went alright this morning. Not fabulous, but everyone deserves one mediocre test a semester I suppose. Still fighting that cold/sinus/allergy/hurricane headache thing... Going for mexican for dinner then it's home for movies and lots of rain tomorrow. Woohoo.

You know what really grinds my gears? All these people in PA who complain about "only" having 4 or 5 interviews.🙄
