I'm so dead guys... a long, long day. Tomorrow shouldn't be bad, but it does start early, so I think I'm about to crash.

It's sad when one of the tv shows you look forward to all week is on and you can't stay up to watch it!

Fifteen?? wow. I can wear SOME 6's, depending on the shoe (and if I really want it.. most shoes aren't made much smaller), but honestly wear between a 3-5.
15 men's would also be 17 in women's...😱

Man, I envy a 6....when I was in Japan, there were SO many AMAZING shoes for just $50....their shoes are really crazy and also comfortable (with padding inside and all). And the biggest I could find was a 7!😡

LOL, last week I got a hold from U Conn and today I get a "complete" notice...interesting.

MUAHAHAH! Got a 100% on my first enviro chem assignment, which is the one class giving me the most trouble.:meanie: 👍

well that was a close call. I couldn't find the caramel apple dip that I bought to take with us to Girls' Day at the winery on Saturday. It has reappeared. crisis resolved. 😎

Glad you found it. 👍

What occasion do you have to use caramel apple dip at a winery? Just curious. Anyway, I think caramel dipped apples are delicious.

Awesome! I just screwed up on a bio quiz uggh... he gives 10 multiple choice questions on the quiz so if u miss one it's a b. And I missed more than one. Grr. However, I have a 100 on Labs, Discussion/Hwk/Attendance, and Tests, so don't think that one 70 (that brought my quiz avg to an 89) is gonna kill me... I still have a 96 in the class.

About to start on my physics 15 pg paper. It's optional, but can count for up to seventy percent of a test (in my case, the final), so I can totally write my name on the final and still make a 70 on it. That'll guarantee me a solid solid A and I wont have to stress that test. Here goes "Mechanics, Heat, and Gravitation in a Newtonian World" or somethign to that effect..

omg you are SUCH a guy. 🙄

the caramel apple dip is for the sliced apples and pears which will accompany our foray to the vineyard. we will also be having grapes, cheese and crackers, dollar-roll chicken salad sandwiches, some sort of dip that my friend is making that sounds nasty to me, and some brownies.

we're leaving early, hoping to get a table, but I think I'd better bring some blankets to lay on the ground just in case...

 Yeah, well... Most of the time I'm a medical student, so it's a nice change of pace to be just a guy. 🙂

Yum. Sounds like you guys have a nice setup going on (except for what might be a nasty dip). I hope you have a great time there. 👍

she's making the dip out of cream cheese and Harry and David pepper relish. :barf: I just don't like anything that's pickled (except for beets, and maybe ginger with my sushi) but I promised I'd try it

has it occurred to you that you might be both guy AND med student 😱 :wow: 😀

Hmm... interesting.

 LOL, occasionally, when I peak out from my books long enough to remember. I just haven't thought of much outside of stress-mode recently. When you get into survival mode, the world tends to look a particular way.

Luckily, it's nothing a day or two of reality check won't fix. 🙂

awwww....

well next break, hit a winery. find one half-way and I'll meet you there. 😀

pingouin - did you get to any of the IL wineries?

Alto Pass is my favorite by far - their Shawnee Gold is the best dessert wine EVAR.

Pomona is also nice and it's close to a great State Park.

The IL wine trail is pretty awesome! Kathy is looking for something to do the last weekend in Oct. if you're gonna be around...... 😉

we made it to Blue Sky. we got a late start, so we didn't get there until like 4pm. (did you see that missed phone call from me? yeah, guys really DON'T know how to ask for directions... my friend had never been there, and his partner SWORE he knew how to get there. 🙄 luckily Super8 had a map. 😛 )

is that the one they were telling me makes every other kind of wine except for grape wine? I wanted to try that..

alas, I will probably have to pass. first, I have an exam that Monday. second, I have to work 2-9 on Sat, and third, I think I'm going to be adolescenthormone-sitting that weekend for my attending's kid. (he's 16, so I'm not allowed to call it "babysitting".)

Hehe, I'm anxiously waiting for my Orgo assignment grade to be posted - that one really separated the men from the boys (and the women from the girls).:scared:

Right now, I'm having a really hard time writing up my microbio lab reports because genius me forgot to write down a bunch of observations, so I have to Google everything to see what it was "supposed" to look like.🙄

Oh yes - Blue Sky. It's a newer one on the wine trail and I haven't been to it yet. It looks pretty.

The winery business has really boomed down there. When I lived in c'dale the wine trail consisted of Alto Pass, Pomona, Von Jakob, and Owl Creek. Now there are 9!

Such a pretty time to go too with the leaves turning. And Blue Sky is in Makanda, really close to Giant City State Park. I hope you had fun.

Yeah, I saw the missed call - I was apple picking at the time and stuffing my face with apples in the middle of the orchard and flinging them at J. 😀

It was BEAUTIFUL- Tuscan theme going on.. there was actually a 5pm wedding overlooking the lake, so we got to watch that from a distance.

we had a GREAT time. unfortunately, the leaves aren't changing yet - it's been too hot. 🙁 it finally started cooling down yesterday- absoultely beautiful today. 65, blue sky, not a lot of wind. now THIS I could get used to. 😍

Bummer about the leaves. They'll turn now that it's cooler 🙂 So exciting - you were in my old stomping grounds! We used to do the wine trail a dozen times a year and hang out in the woods a lot!

It was cool up here today - 50 and cloudy. I planted 5 tall grasses and 4 Autumn Blaze plants in front of my house today. I had to pick out several roots from plants we cut down last year though. Ugh.

Your groupies are enamored with you. How's medskool treating you?

Uh oh, I sense a lickfest.... 😎

Med skool is keeping me busy but I'm not so stressed. We're spending a lot of time with our cadavers, microscopes, and Netter's flashcards these days.

Glad to hear you gals are snagging some interviews! I'm looking forward to the postings about fat envelopes.....
