TRIPLE X randudes and randudettes!!

I had to start the new one b/c the old one should have technically been closed a while ago, and we need reviving!! RANDOM THREAD MUST NOT DIE! 🙂

And just for yucks, here's a dog with a bunch of tennis balls in his mouth!

I've watched the last couple episodes of Fringe. I came in when the first episode was almost finished and was so confused, but it didn't take too long to understand enough of what was going on to be able to pick it up from the second episode. It looks like it could have complicated enough intertwining plots to wind up being pretty good.

The actors do a pretty good job of developing their characters except for the blonde who is one of the leads. She spends too much time showing a pouty hurt look. They need to get beyond that and have a wider variety of expression for her.

It's often shortened to gradu8 or gradu8in 🙂

Although once I have that acceptance, I'm thinking of a name change... I'll keep everyone in suspense and just start posting as someone else 😉

I REALLY wanted Optimus_Prime, so many great avatars, but someone already had it :-(

hey randomites! just wanted to stop in and say Happy October (just a couple hours early). Hopefully we'll have several randomites accepted this month!! :luck:

Happy October indeed! Although I'm not a fan of the fact that it is October already :scared: . . . Sorry, gradu8 - I don't meant to work at cross-purposes to you, but I say "slow down" to time! (until I get an interview, and then time can speed up until I get an acceptance . . . and then slow down again!)

Seriously, time is a crazy thing. I saw my niece (now 11mos) this past weekend, and she's huge now and drinking from a sippie cup and crawling all over the place. Ack! She was doing none of those things in July, when I saw her last (which seriously seems like it was just a few weeks ago . . . where did the summer go???). Oh, and I think this whole med school application process is aging me! I realized the other day that I now have crow's feet. WTF?? When did that happen? I didn't think I'd have to start buying wrinkle cream at 27, but it appears it's time to make the investment. 🙁

Ok, enough griping! Time to focus on the positives: I get to go straight home after work tonight (no class/lab/volunteering - woo hoo!) and Fringe was awesome again last night 👍 (but I agree that we need some more character development out of the lead chick . . . and her and Pacey - he will always be Pacey - need to get it on soon).

It seems that a lot of people change their name once they get mod status. Is that because it's easier or because you want the added sense of authority that comes with the unknown?

Anyway, I feel like we'll still be able to pick you out by your avatar and/or cheerful countenance. 😀

I'll let ya know what I'm changing to, if you guys dont figure it out asap. (You probably will). LOL.

Awww, you'll get one! (or two, or three) :luck:

Thanks - you're a sweetie. 😀 And I'm keeping my fingers crossed for an acceptance for you soon!

Much happier today! Mini-Med (basically a lecture series here) was awesome! We watched videos of two craniotomies and the neurosurgeon brought in two patients to share their experiences, one of whom had to be awake during her surgery so he could map her cortex and stimulate various centers of her brain (in trying to determine whether he could safely avoid the speech center). So cool! Neurosurgery is not even remotely in the realm of specialty interests for me, but it's awfully fascinating!

Oh, and I won Palin bingo! (card #1, left diagonal) 😉

That sounds AMAZING!!!

And thanks so much for the crossed fingers and well wishes. I'm having the (hardest) time of my life waiting.
