yeah, it's totally worth it, especially for non-trad applicants who either can't use or aren't planning on using services from their undergrad schools. interfolio gets a huge thumbup in my book. 😀

exactly, pb. (I can call you that- we're friends, right?) my post-bacc doesn't have a committee so this is the bestest way to get things done.

did I mention my expectation that it's going to save me a lot of stress? and if it doesn't we're going to have to have words?

is it something you're looking to do for a whole year? i say research would be good, but hospital may be better experience for med school. i'd say it depends on what you can do at the job.

Done with my last oral proficiency in Spanish and last vocabulary quiz. One more quiz, one more test... three more regular days of school and then one more final next week. Woohoo.

it would be for a year, more or less. i've been working in a hospital for seven months now and it's been interesting, even though I don't have that much patient interaction. but then friend of mine said research would look better on my apps, so now i'm feeling very 😕 i don't want to conform to the system!

Okay - so I just got a call from student housing and I have a place but it's a 2 bdrm - about $730/month but I'd have it all to myself. I put myself on the list back when I was thinking that I'd take my mom's stuff out of storage and put it in an apt (saves her having to pay rent on the space) but now it looks like I might be only living there a year, which makes it total impractical to move all her stuff out. But chances are I won't be offered another student housing spot. Ugh - I don't know what to do. 🙁

research can be a plus on your apps, but don't do it unless it's something you're interested in. it can get very boring if you don't like it. it can definitely be a plus, though, if you like what you're doing and you can talk about how it relates to the grand scheme of the scientific + medical world.

i thought you were going to house-sit for your friend? or did you decide not to do that?

True - *but* she doesn't live in Houston so we gotta pay to have the stuff moved to Houston.

Aw well... if she'd pick up her cell maybe we'd be able to talk it over.

I've put out feelers for roomies to see if anyone in my class is interested. I'm pretty easy to live with but trying to find someone willing to pay for wind energy is going to be a PITA

Blood bank was incredibly overwhelming today.

And my precious adorable little niece has pneumonia with a fever of 104. 🙁 She told me she feels "very bad." 🙁 🙁

haha, i know what you mean. i had really given up on myspace altogether, and then all of a sudden all my friends from HS are on there, so there's action again.
