Were they yelling "I'm being forgiven for this!" as they passed you?
So there I am sitting waiting for the bus and two ladies with big smiles come up on poor unsuspecting me, hand me two leaflets and say "Would you like to hear about the Bible?"

I wish I had said "No thanks, but would you like to hear about the Quran, or Dhammapada or < insert string of holy texts here >...?"

My CAR!!!!!! Has arrived at the dealer's!!!!! 😀 *boinggg*

Now I just have to face the spectre of paying insurance on a 2006 model, not having attained the ripe old age of 25 🙁

I hope my car lives to the end of pharmacy school. I don't want to deal with car payments yet.

Yay! New Car! Sniff Deeply for me when you sit in it! 😀

They are supposed to have a protest rally here sometime "in support" of that woman who is camped out outside the prez's ranch in texas. It bothers me that all these left wing whackos have now attached themselves to this woman's cause. Oh well. Whatever good she had to say is now obliterated in political rhetoric.

Verdict: don't care.

Well, she says she wants to meet with the president personally, but what hasn't been highly publicized is that she met with him personally last year and was okay with everything. She's nuts and she is being used.

I always knew I liked you, Pingu 🙂 But I would say that she is a grieving mother who is being used. Disgraceful.

Seriously! This is very impressive.

Ooog. I'm going to hopefully be a Pathology resident (*crosses fingers*) at the RIPE old age of 33!!!!!! 😱

...as a side note, I'm happy to report that my Neurology "selective" (translation: elective that was CHOSEN for me) ends tomorrow!! I'm off to the fresh, clean air of Rochester to take Step2 CK. My first elective upon returning to NYC--Dermatopathology at Mount Sinai in October!!

*raises wine glass*

Without fail it will piss them off if you tell them you have already read that volume and moved on to the Book of Mormon.

I once saw a bottle of "new car smell" air freshener for sale. It didn't really smell that great though.

$1200 for 6 months is rough. My first 6 months here was $850, although that included homeowners as well (oddly enough - auto + homeowners was CHEAPER than auto alone, go figure). Next 6 months it went down to $750. Yours is high because you have no driving record in the US, basically.

That's what I thought. Insurance for first time car owners with no driving records will mostly get a high insurance rate, mostly.

Thanks! That you can see it, tells me you're not using the Beta forums 🙂

Some sort of Sailor Moon-esque anime? I don't recognize it.. my curiousity is piqued! What's it called?

Yeah, there's a South Park marathon this weekend going on. They showed this one episode late last night where Cartman is playing with the Salma Hayek doll and Shelly and Skyler are babysitting him. Regarding the meteor shower..."they come out mostly at night...mostly."

Curious, I seem to have missed this marathon. Apparently I only tuned in when the marathon was not running.

Last night, however, I watched part of basic instinct, and I know revise my opinion of sharon stone. (Formerly not hot at all, now very hot). 😳

Probably not - if you are using the beta server there have been some weird issues like that. I think they are working on it now. I wouldn't worry too much as of yet.

Well then I'm stumped. Maybe someone tried to log in as you and ran out of passwords with "poo" in them. 😉
Wow, you're really funny. Have you ever considered standup as a backup career? 😉

$1200+ is after including renter's insurance - and this is with State Farm. Bleh!

Mine is also high because... oh, let me list the reasons.

(1) My age
(2) My MN drivers' licence has not arrived in my mailbox
(3) 2006 model
(4) First vehicle
(5) Having an active loan
(6) Living in Minneapolis

Bah.

I Image-Googled "harry potter" 🙂

Random thought: A well-stained megakaryocyte is exactly what a Pygmy Puff looks like in my imagination.

Your age shouldn't count against you. Once you are over 25 it's all good. If you were male you'd have to pay more too. I want a better car. But, on the list of priorities, this one is not so high. I pay like 350/yr with Pemco. That's comprehensive, not just liability. My roomate pays like $650/yr since she is younger and her car is new. I had to pay like 500/yr when I lived in a major city.

Nana is an smod! Gratz!!

Sub-I on my surgery team today:

Otolaryngology resident: Hey sub-I, what are you going in to?
Sub-I: Oh, otolaryngology, definitely. It's the best. I love it.

*Three minutes later, same sub-I*

General surgery resident: Hey sub-I, what are you going in to?
Sub-I: Oh, general surgery, definitely. It's the best. I love it.

😡 +pissed+

And ob/gyn, and anesthesia, and derm, and radiology, and and...

sigh.

Makes you wonder how it is that these people never get caught at their own game.
