How can NYCOM take so much time to complete its overall application/interview process? It has way more students in the incoming class than most other schools, so how can it afford to start the entire process in the fall? The class doesn't seem nearly as filled as those of some other programs, judging by the comments on SDN, so when does the school plan on admitting the rest of the class? I know the school is still interviewing, but it seems so late already.

Any NYCOMers have thoughts on this? Thanks.

I am not sure why NYCOM starts the interview process as late as it does. I would assume that they usually do not have any problem filling the class so they do whatever is most convenient for them. When I interviewed way back in November, they told us that they had 3000 applications this year and that they would only be interviewing 750. Also, I'm pretty certain NYCOM accepts more students than they can hold because they know not everyone is going to accept their acceptance, so to speak. I was accepted just a few weeks after the interview but I am very curious to know if they are still interviewing, because I have a close friend who lives in New York and has not even been invited for an interview yet. Anywayz, if you guys know anything please post it.

I know they're still interviewing this coming Wednesday, but that might be the last day, not sure.
