I have 2 foot tattoos total, though they are kind of like 3. Both done fairly recently, one last year and one this year. Wearing tennis shoes is bearable, but don't even attempt flip flops for a few days after. I didn't think that the foot was that bad, honestly. Everyone says it is, but it is doable. Maybe I was just prepping for much much worse.

hmmm ok... I was more worried about the fact that I live in Ireland, so most likely would need to wear boots or tennis shoes after getting it... wondering if that would be an issue?

Wasn't an issue for the 2 feet tattoos I have. I had to work the next say so I wore tennis shoes right after.

I need to start thinking about how to make my halloween costume -- my GD pup will be going as a race horse and I will be a jockey -- just need to figure out how to make his 'bridle' and 'saddle'. 😱

I got my first foot tattoo and then had a dog trial the next day. Wearing tennis shoes was fine. I was actually really surprised how much it really didn't hurt with them on. Also, beware of jeans that may rub over your tat when you walk (the bottoms of them).

Hopefully, yours like it better than mine did. Mine had no interest in it after the first week.

I had a really lame cat tree at home so when I moved I got them a pretty awesome one. They loved the old one and couldn't give a crap about this one.

Found this on Reddit. Wound care and time lapse of exposed bone injury. Was a smaller wound but the dog got to the wound and opened it up I the bone. Surgeon drilled holes in the bone, I am guessing to promote new tissue growth?

Either way, never personally seen anything like it. It's graphic...I feel silly about warning a bunch of people in the vet field about graphic pics. Lol.

Graphic or not, that's a really neat progression.

I had workout and golf practice the next morning and I was fine 😀 I think I may have put gauze and wrapped it... Can't remember. Got it 2 years ago and on the outside of my foot. The colored part is a little faded (nearest to the heel) but the writing next to it is still black 🙂

I don't know if this should be a rant or a rave, to be honest, so I'm putting it here. I have been having such mixed feelings about leaving one of my two jobs in mid September. I started in vet med here, as a kennel attendant, and I have learned so much and made such great friends. I am leaving because I have two jobs now, full time school of course, PLUS a toddler and husband. It's just wearing me down. I had to keep my other job because its an assistant position at an emergency clinic. I get to do more there and see more there as well as emergency medicine is my ideal career, and I want to do everything that I can to get a residency some day. I guess what I'm saying is this: I'm really sad to be leaving the docs and techs who I have learned so much from and who I consider to be an extension of my family, but I know it's what's right for my actual family as well as my sanity! I have three weeks left here and I'm already a mess. 🙁

Cheering on Orb in the Travers in just a matter of minutes! 🙂

So neat! Thanks for posting. I haven't been on reddit since school started 🙁

I'm really, really, really excited for tonight's VMAs. COME ON POP GODS.

I wish I had cable just to see if NSYNC actually performs. :xf: they do.

I'll skype you in! haha

I'm literally so excited... I'm going to squeal like a little fangirl if they perform. They just announced something about JT getting an award and performing .. "maybe not alone!"

😱😱😍😍😍😀😀😀😀

I feel so...blah. I'm not even sure how to explain it. I feel kinda empty.
And everyone is stressing about school already and I'm just here like

Whenever you feel empty, just think, at least you're not Miley Cyrus after the VMAs 🙂

I just youtubed the video. I know I'm late, but after all the talk, I had to see what the fuss was all about

1) I will never look at a foam finger the same way
2) I think I need a cigarette

Completely ridiculous! Just absurd...

Hang in there Ab! <3

Feck that, I need a drink. Or a few. My roommates and I had a communal retina burning this evening because we were curious and youtube'd it.

I'm guessing the rust (?) lines are showing that it happens fairly often?

 I believe those posts are painted that color, but they did have lined marks on a brick wall outside the parking garage that they used to determine how high the water was and approximately how long it would take for the flooding to go down.

That is crazy! I remember when Vegas got snow in 2008 and the freak-out that ensued.

I wish I could have cancelled classes with 8" of snow. 😀

I overheard a coworker talk about how much resent he feels for people who take in stray cats.
Why? Because he hates cats and thinks they are terrible animals.
I was a bit confused and asked him why on earth he works in animal medicine.

"It pays the bills, my dear. That's all."

Really? That is terrifying. I have had jobs that have "just paid the bills". I folded t-shirts, made burritos, scanned groceries. How can I expect them to treat a patient any different than I treated the t-shirt, burrito, or box of cereal?

The more I think about it, the more scary it becomes.

scary and intriguing. its not really a job that pays the bills very well...

walk out to my kitchen to find my toaster oven on fire from my grilled cheese sandwich. "OMG MY TOASTER IS ON FIRE!!!!" follower by "hmm wonder if I can still salvage that sandwich..." (the answer was yes)

Well at least something good came out of it!
