Basically what everyone else said. Vacuuming is huge, as well as washing bedding, sheets, clothes, etc. Borax is supposed to work well as a carpet powder too.

^ And that's one of the largest criticisms of the electoral college, right there. If you have even a slight majority of the popular vote in the state, you take ALL of the state's electoral college votes. So winning popular vote in a state by 1% is just as valid as winning it by 49%.

Some very few states split up their electoral college votes.

Anyone feel like telling me that no matter what it will all be okay? That someone with some sense will prevent T-bag from spiraling our nation back to the Dark Ages with some WWIII on top? Because my mind is in a very dark place right now...

It's only 4 years.

Everyone always says every election will be the end of the world if each candidate wins. Has the world ended yet? No.
 
NBC projecting that it is going to pretty much come down to Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan. :scared:

All will be okay. I don't know how, but somehow we will make it through the next 4 years.
I might be forced to beat a few educators when there is a role back on inclusive education and special needs rights, but all will be alright.

It will all be okay. Trump won't start WW3 (hillary would have by going after russia). Just have to have faith in the judicial and legislative branches.
 
Some 4 year periods in time are worse than others, but in general, no, I don't really think a president has the power to destroy too much. It's more a combination of all the things. The supreme court issue will be interesting for sure.

Faith in the legislative branch though? LOL

More concerned for the Judicial branch. Won't this next president choose the next two Supreme court seats?

It's because of uncertainty. And something about changing interest rates and some other stuff someone told me but I can't recall.

The federal vote is based on seats, not vote% correct? As in doesn't matter if you have 70% of the votes, if you have less than majority seats you lose?

Do you mean nationally? In case of a tie in the electoral college, the popular vote still doesn't matter. In that case, the House of Representatives determines who the president is and the Senate decides on the vice president.

Not exactly. Trump's success is inversely related to the stock market's performance, that's fact. Sure, it always drops a little after the election, but foreign currencies and the stock market have already dropped in anticipation of his success.

Pretty much. Popular vote nationwide doesn't count for anything. The popular vote in each state should determine how electoral votes are assigned, but electors can (at least in theory) vote for whomever they want. Some states have laws preventing that, and some don't.

Yup. That's why if whoever the guy in Utah is was elected there, and neither Trump or Hilary got to 270, it is possible that the guy from Utah would be our president. (Or Bernie if the miracle write in vote in NH took place.)

By "interesting" I actually meant "terrifying"
And yeah, I believe so. The fact that Congress was like "yeah sorry, not letting that seat be filled until we've got a new president" is abhorrent if you ask me. It will have been almost a year at that point.
