katie8, I'm so sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is but that is also somewhat of a relief on her behalf because of what she was going through.
In the er with my 8yr old IG. Having neurological issues suddenly and it doesn't seem like typical seizures.

I'm definitely being transferred. My clients are not happy and I hate to be the one telling them.

They can, but it is 30 mins away. Some of my clients already live in the opposite direction. I likely won't see them anymore.
I told my first client this afternoon. She was upset but will likely come to me. She only tried out our hospitals recently and decided it was worth it when she met me (which is very flattering). I just want to go cry in a corner. It is good to be getting away from the horrible situation, but the situation is not at an end for my friends amongst the staff and clientele. Also, the PetSmart staff is unhappy.
Oh what a day it is for neuro dogs. I haven't even been gone for 24 hours yet and my dog had a seizure. Her last one was about a month and a half ago. My poor SO has NO idea what to do and I know it's scary to watch and I feel really bad about him being stuck with that. 🙁

Dy, I know it's hard but it's for the best. You will have new great clients and those that can't follow you can find a different vet in the area and, hopefully, be happy.

Not really sure what is going on, but ER docs agree with me that it does not seem like a seizure. They are inclined to think some kind of toxicity, but I don't know what it could be.
She is doing a bit better now, but still not nearly normal. We are observing her at home now since she was clearly worse at the hospital and they seem to think I know something about vet med.

Is there any lead paint left in your house?
My house was built in the 1880s... so yes.
Interesting thought, although this dog is not the one to randomly eat anything, but it is certainly a possibliity.

It's definitely a relief. It was so hard to see her uncomfortable the last few days of her life and I'm glad she is finally at peace.
it's rough nyanko, I'm sorry you have to go through this as well. Hugs to you and your family 🙁

My grandma is sick in a hospital in connecticut. Her and my grandpa were on their way home from vacation. I'm not going to be able to see them before going to scotland. 🙁

We just found out my grams has congestive heart failure 🙁. Still doing tests to determine how long. Hope it is something simple in your grandma's case! Sorry you can't see them before you leave 🙁
She has double pneumonia involving 3 lobes. They are giving her lots of lasix and have her on oxygen. She will be there for at least 5 more days, if not longer. She will also be on oxygen for quite some time. She has had this problem for months and none of the doctors can figure out what keeps causing her to get the pneumonia. I just wish that I could have seen her before I left. 🙁🙁
Mini-Rant: AC is completely gone, out... NO AC at all... It is miserable in this house and I am packing and moving furniture and stuff.
I'm sorry to hear about your grandma DVM. I hope she gets better soon. Maybe this time they'll be able to figure it out. I'll be thinking good thoughts for her in the meantime.
Also I'm so sorry about your AC. People always told me the humidity in the southeast is awful and is worse than the AZ heat. That's bull. Sure I sweat a lot, but it's not because I feel hot. The heat is AZ is literally like being put in an oven. Except I'll bet it's humid where I lived right now. The monsoon clouds pass us over: all the humidity, none of the rain. I wish you luck packing and moving.
gahhhh so many people in my life getting engaged/married/having babies!!! i am much too young for this!! and very impatient and jealous! it is so hard not to be a little bit bitter every time i see another engagement/marriage announcement on facebook these days! i just keep telling myself to be patient. that i am in school doing what i love. and i keep trying to remind myself what Dr. Peddie's wife told us when he visited this spring - "ladies, you can have it all. you can have a successful career, a loving marriage, and a happy family, but you cannot have it all at once." words of wisdom!

I think I have the flu now too... 🙁 102 degree fever and my stomach is dying. I hope it is just because it is hot in here and I have been working hard.. I have too much to do to be getting sick... All I want to do is curl up in my bed (oh wait, I sold it... 🙁).
You know, I have heard that before but I have seen a woman have it all at once, my mom. When I was growing up she had a successful law career, 4 kids (3 of which were in diapers during her law school), and her and my dad are still happily in love. She is my hero.
