Chipotle and qdoba are completely different. And the veggie options at Chipotle are pretty decent, depending on what you like. Although I don't like their current campaign, I do like the taste of Chipotle food.I'll take taco hell over chipotle or Qdoba any day. None are good, but taco hell has some decent veggie options.

I'm not a fan of any of the veggie options at chipotle. The cilantro lime rice is ok, but other than that, I don't like it at all. I don't understand the cault following of chipotle, but I do understand that people have different tastes, so I get that some people like it over other fast food options.Chipotle and qdoba are completely different. it really isn't in the same category as most fast food IMO.I'm not a fan of any of the veggie options at chipotle. The cilantro lime rice is ok, but other than that, I don't like it at all. The grilled veggies are good, the guac is good.
To be fair, I liked a local chain in Atlanta a lot more than Chipotle. But their burritos are huge compared to needing to eat like 5-10 somethings at taco bell.

Taco bell is like the ghetto version of cheap Mexican food. Chipotle>>>>>>taco bell.
And I really wouldn't consider either Mexican food
I totally agree it's this. There are some killer Mexican places around here. And I really wouldn't consider either Mexican food
Client: OMG my horse is colicking. I took her pulse and its 110..
me: Well how is she acting?
Client: she's just standing there with her ears back. I took her food away.
me: what signs of colic is she showing?
Client: HER PULSE IS 110 AND ERRATIC.
Me at the farm 20 minutes later- "yeah her pulse is 36 and entire exam is normal. Give her dinner and enjoy paying the emergency bill. Oh, and lose the stethoscope. Knowledge is not power."

New puppy just came from breeder....
Breeder told us she started vomiting and having diarrhea after she gave the vaccine yesterday. The breeder took her to the vet this morning and she was given her rabies. (Already trying not to facepalm).
Breeder tells them puppy has continued to vomit and had a fever... so she (breeder) gave it multiple doses of baby aspirin and pepto...
Was very hard to not actual slam my head into a wall in front of the client.
See, every single time I've eaten at Chipotle, I've had some pretty severe.....issues afterwards. It's not that it tastes bad, it's just that it gives me problems for two days. Taco Bell doesn't, but I know more people seem to have the exact opposite situation lol.Taco bell is like the ghetto version of cheap Mexican food. Chipotle>>>>>>taco bell.
I just ate one!Taco Bell 😍
Really the only fast food I eat. I love the spicy potato soft taco... and the 5 layer beefy burrito sub rice in place of beef (irony? 😉).
I also had the Quesolupa. Was good, but didn't blow me away. My all time favorite is a Chalupa, no sour cream, and add onions and nacho cheese sauce. 😍
Well they have had issues with e.coli and norovirus; )See, every single time I've eaten at Chipotle, I've had some pretty severe.....issues afterwards. Lactose intolerance! I won't really delve into the issues dairy causes me....Why would you not want sour cream tho

Taco Bell = Delicious. Quesaritos!

Hmm I'm sorry to hear that. I'm sort of curious what's up, since I feel like no one has stigma (and perhaps a rockier set up) than island kids. I'm a little disappointed because I think only 4 of us are pursuing specialty certification (not that there's anything wrong with gp) and I wish that just a few more were continuing onI have always been an advocate for my school but after this next week, I don't think I can ever speak well of it again. I don't think I can ever encourage a pre-vet student to apply or to accept a seat here. There are very good aspects to my school, but if you want anything beyond being a GP, you need to go elsewhere.

I will absolutely still be pursuing it, but I'm not sure how many in my class are. I know a lot of people are pursuing internships, regardless. It's just going to prove to be a little bit more difficult on the residency side of things. I'm actually submitting an abstract to maybe present at ACVS this year so hopefully that will help turn things a little more in my favour 🙂 Freaking out over my Pacvet presentation will commence after exams.Hmm I'm sorry to hear that. Thanks. Still set on it. I talked to a faculty member today and it seems as though people ARE getting residencies which is very comforting given what's gone on for the last six weeks.Jeez, that seemed to happen all of a sudden... Are people from Western having trouble getting residencies or something? Sorry, I know your heart is set on surgery.
In other news, our NAVLE pass rate was 88% for first-time takers this year... Found that out in our mandatory third year meeting today...

That's a damn shame. I love me some dairy. Give me a giant glass of milk and I'll process that **** like a pro. Hah.
No sour cream? No butter? No cheese?? Couldn't handle it.
Butter doesn't have enough lactose to be labeled for it, usually (so don't fall for the new lactose-free butter 🙄). Some cheeses don't have much at all, either! I've fallen in love with the FairLife milk, though. It's a little pricey, but it doesn't have the gross sweet taste that Lactaid does after the lactose is broken down into simple sugars. Blech. That's a damn shame. I love me some dairy. Give me a giant glass of milk and I'll process that **** like a pro. Hah.

Ice cream is what makes me sad, but I just pop a lactase pill! Sometimes I do end up getting 'dairied' though...my boyfriend's mom made mashed potatoes with heavy cream (I'm sure this is normal but I didn't even think about it) and I ate a lot. My boyfriend almost took me to the ER that night, I was in so much pain.
Sour cream is worth the lactaid tab.
Taco Bell is crap compared to Taco Bueno, which I grew up eating but they don't have around here. 🙁 But I do occasionally crave the cheap, greasy tacos from Bell (especially when I've been drinking 😛). And I love their Starburst freezes.
This! I used to just slightly prefer Qdoba over Chipotle, but after Chipotle's whole anti-GMO thing and food safety issues, I haven't gone back. And Chipotle and Qdoba are an entire different category, with Qdoba >>>>> Chipotle. That is all.

Plus Qdoba has the taco shell bowls.

I like Qdoba and Chipotle about equally, though I'm a bit sad that neither (at least the ones around here) offer shrimp as a meat option. 🙁
I would always get the baha chalupa or gordita with beans instead of meat. I really liked the baha sauce. I haven't been to Taco Bell in so long, I don't even know if they have those anymore.
you guys have it all wrong. Moes = 😍 nothing beats that queso!
i'm so over clinical evaluations that tell me, in nice words, that I'm easy to work with and enthusiastic but don't know jack ****. 🙁
I guess in some ways it's better than "knows her crap but what a bitch"... sort of.

I got lots of those. Guess what. They don't matter! I'm at an excellent internship and matched to an excellent residency so it doesn't matter if they thought I was the dumbest creature to ever grace their presence.i'm so over clinical evaluations that tell me, in nice words, that I'm easy to work with and enthusiastic but don't know jack ****. 🙁

"Nice but needs to learn" is a hell of a lot easier to work with and more hireable than "knows everything but is an ass". As opposed to what, sit in a chair and look it up first knowledge? I find that's usually how it goes in real life.

I've had those. And I'm still bitter about the one saying I have substandard patient care. I was sitting in my run today after heating up the canned food, breaking it into smaller pieces so I could hand feed it to my patient so she'd eat so I could give her her meloxicam. BS my patient care sucks.
Walked into work and a client started asking me questions before I was even on the clock.

Just love it when people take their pets home to "die at home", especially when they are already agonal and stiff. Patient didn't survive the drive home.
We had a client that insisted on that once. If I remember right, we basically wouldn't allow it (although I'm not sure we could technically allow or not allow that?). The dog was in baaaad shape, as was the owner. We were worried she was going to get herself killed. The dog was going to be a huge distraction in her backseat because it wasn't going very peacefully, unfortunately.Just love it when people take their pets home to "die at home", especially when they are already agonal and stiff. This particular client insisted on taking the dog back home because she admitted she didn't see the sense in paying us to kill (euthanize) her dog when it was going to happen anyways for free.

From someone who got a few evals that were more in the opposite direction 4th year, the grass is not greener, haha.
not good at pretending to care or pretending to be nice =/
It's a regional quick-Mex chain. We had them in KY, but we don't have them in TX. So, I guess it's mid-west or north or something.

There's one a few blocks from my house, so they exist in OK. They are a lot like Chipotle and Freebirds.
Qdoba existed in TN, too
Those ones actually bother me less than the ones where you give a terminal diagnosis and you just know the animal is going to cling to life and suffer for days or even weeks. 🙁Just love it when people take their pets home to "die at home", especially when they are already agonal and stiff. Qdoba is also in AZ and FL.

Are these two mutually exclusive comments? I have Hashimotos and don't consider myself immunocompromised and I'm super stressed. Never gotten shingles. The reason my friend developed it is probably because she has Hashimoto's and is immunocompromised. Add some stress and it makes sense that this happened.
Hashimotos is misunderstood IMO (not related to above comment, separate rant). MDs have no idea what causes it and found a drug that "manages" the symptoms but doesn't treat the underlying issue. And as long as they have the TSH feedback to "validate" a patient is "good" on a given level of T4, they won't spend the money to research why most patients don't feel quite back to normal. We just live with the symptoms because docs can't listen and treat symptoms not lab results. I hope in our lifetime we find a cause and more holistic, system wide treatment options.
Whaaaa??? That's horrible! Someone mentioned when I moved here that sometimes hunting dogs will come barreling through the woods onto his property and the hunters don't always seem to care if the dog comes back. :-( Poor dogs. Dogs deserve families that love them like they love us.Around here it's common practice to retire hunting dogs, especially beagles, early and just release them to fend for themselves.

Yeah, this particular pet had already been suffering since November. Owner just finally decided it was an emergency as the dog was literally on its last leg.
So yeah, there's a mystery yellow liquid that smells of anal glands dripping from the ceiling at the back of the lecture hall. Not in my row, but...
Qdoba is also in AZ and FL.
Maryland too.
