AAhhhh stupid idiot boyfriend! This rant is going to be just as long as he is stupid.
I left for 2 days - come back, litter box is FILTHY (I have 2 cats), beer bottles everywhere, food wrappers all over the place, and the cats destroyed a toy and he didn't even vacuum up all catnip that's all over the floor!
It's like, why do you live here? I clean more than you do, I'm taking 21 semester hours, plus working 30 hours a week, and I have to come home to this pigsty? He watches movies/tv for HOURS, then claims he didn't have time to do any cleaning. So what the hell?
Let me get it straight. I work more days of the week than you do. I'm taking more classes than you are right now. I pay more of the rent than you do. You have free time to watch movies and tv for hours on end. Meanwhile, I have spent the last 3 days waking up at 5am and going to bed at midnight with NO BREAKS in between just to get all my homework done in between class and school. So....I'm supposed to pay more rent, work more, go to school more, and do ALL the cleaning while you just drink and watch tv?
Yesterday I woke up at 5am, studied until 5, then went to night class until 10. Then I came home and did some more studying before falling asleep (only to get up at 5am again).
What did he do? Skipped class, drank a 6 pack, didn't even bother to clean up after himself. Meanwhile the cats are crapping on the floor because their litter box is too dirty to step in.
God I can't wait until I dump your ass and kick you out.

Exactly true. And he has that kind of gravelly Kiefer Sutherland voice combined with a southern accent. "Dr. WTF, does this liver look all right?" 😍 :meanie: But yes. Ain't nothin wrong with appreciating the menu - I know who my entree is 😀

DAMN!!! I agree with WTF! No way you could dump this guy any sooner is there? Keep your chin up either way. You're definitely the bigger person. 🙂

I want sleep. I have no idea how other people do all-nighters. Do they sleep more than I do during the other nights? Ugh. I just woke up, but 3.5 hours is not enough for me...

I am the all nighter kind of gal... mainly because im a slack kinda gal lol...

The trick is to not sleep at all. If your gonna stay up, stay up. I find sleeping for less than 4 hours makes me feel worse than not sleeping at all...

Also don't drink ~2L of diet coke while you do it. It makes me feel weird.

I know. Usually sleeping a little bit just makes it worse, but I really couldn't keep my eyes open anymore..

Good thing I don't drink soda.. :laugh:

I am completely the opposite now.
Better 3 hours of sleep than none.
And if you are gonna stay up a lot... drink a lot of soda.

Yeah I stay up for a good portion of the night till like 4 or 5 AM and then I sleep for 3 or 4 hours. Have to have a little sleep. I am a nut though :laugh:

I work 50 hours a week and am taking 7 credits in shiz WAY harder than your stubborn *ss head, and you think an 11 credit semester with no job and time to hang out with your buddies and fish and golf and whatever the hell you do, takes up less time than MY life?! 😱

The best part... he stormed off downstairs to take a shower, and in the loudest, nastiest tone of voice said

Clinic where I'm getting rabies vaccines: You don't need an appointment for the second or third shots. Come in any time; we're open 10-7.

Me: Sweet, I'll pop in this afternoon after I clean this pig sty of a house. I'll probably be there around 2.

*gets to clinic at 2:10*

Sign on clinic door: Out to lunch 2-3pm.

Me: *facepalm*
 
Stupid attitude from the UPS guy. I ordered some wine. My husband works 12-9 pm on weekdays and I work varied weekdays. So of course when they try to deliver it, it is hit or miss if we are there. And with wine, you HAVE to sign for it. We couldn't get them to deliver to the office. So since I knew I would have the day off, I paid for them to deliver it today (yes, paid - he had attempted delivering at 2 o'clock for 3 days in a row and the only way to get them to deliver at a different time than normal was to pay a fee).

UPS guy: *knocks*
Me: *runs to open the door because these guys are notorious for leaving ASAP*
UPS guy: Oh, you're actually here today.


Not acceptable, UPS.

It was a white and is chilling in the fridge currently. I can guarantee to any SDN visitors that I always have wine at the ready, if they find themselves in my neck of Florida 😉. I can also get other alcohol with notice.

I'm so glad you live in my state 😀. I'm a big wino. I hated wine 4 years ago and now I 😍 it. My parents always stock up for me when I visit 👍

Ohh where in FL? I have a cousin that is a vet in Tallahasee (spelling?) FL. She does SA physical therapy. I want wine!

Our prof sent out an email yesterday to tell us that final grades were posted, if we thought there were any problems, to let him know ASAP.
I'm 99% sure my grade is screwed up, so I emailed him within 15 minutes of him sending out the original email.

It's now over 24 hours later, I havent heard back. I've gone by his office 3 times so far today, and he hasn't been in there at all. Starting to freak out.
 
While I don't really get along with my old riding instructor anymore, I absolutely love her parents. I just heard her dad went to the hospital because they think he had a stroke. I'm so worried and I really hope it's not too serious and he will be ok. 🙁

I did not, in fact, "scalp" your cat. You asked for a potty path, and when I lifted the tail of your very obese cat, there was a significant hot spot forming around the anus. Not shaving all the hair off would be doing your cat a disservice, so I shaved the amount of hair needed - no more than necessary. I cleaned the area and applied ointment to make your poor cat's behind feel better. The word scalp implies to take all of the hair and skin off of one's head. That is not what I did. I am more than happy to never touch your cat again, thanks for announcing that. Now I don't have to balance what your cat needs with what you think it needs.

I wake up around 2AM this morning (don't ask why) and my cat is laying over my leg completely fast asleep, or so I think. I go to move her so I can get out of bed and when I really look at her she is looking straight ahead, limp, eyes open. I FREAK out and pick her up. She is still completely limp just staring straight at me with no reaction at all. I start petting her really roughly, yelling at her, trying to get her to blink or do anything. All of a sudden, she starts purring.... 😡

You scared the crap out me cat! I thought something was seriously wrong with her. She eventually jumped off the bed and went to eat but I was so scared. I really hope she does not do that again.

This week at work has been absolutely ridiculous. We're constantly falling behind schedule because everything is turning out to be a battle or we have like 5 possible parvo cases that need to be seen. We're blaming it on the full moon that is supposed to happen this weekend.

But that major thing that bugged me and another co-worker today was that a couple came in to surrender their pit who tore a cruciate ligament. Super nice dog from what I could tell and the owners were sooooo upset over it .They've done everything they could for this dog but just can't afford the surgery. The shelter was short staffed so they asked if I could collect the dog, I come out to get him but the one owner is sooo upset and isn't sure if she can do it. So I let her have more time with the dog and another vet tech comes out and ends up talking to her. She apparently decided to surrender in the end, so someone brought him back and put him in a kennel. Normally dogs kind of hang out for a while before anything is done with him. As a humane society, we don't have the ability to do that surgery, so the plan was to euthanize since it was unlikely we would be able to get someone to adopt him cause of his injury and cause he's a pit. Apparently he was euthanized really quickly and shortly aftewards, the owners called and decided they wanted him back. I was heartbroken and me an another tech were surprised it happened so quickly since any other time, dogs kind of just sit around for a while. I definitely think we should have some sort of like "holding period" especially when we actually have room in the kennels. I just feel horrible for the owners and I know he was put down cause he was in pain, but the situation just sucks.

No motivation left. Mammals final at 745am and cell bio final at 3 tomorrow. Wah. Does watching videos of lorises and bush babies count as studying for the primates section of mammals?

Well, just got dumped completely out of the blue. I don't even know what to do with myself right now. I have barely even cried. Just numb. Great timing since I have all my finals tomorrow and Friday. And tomorrow is orgo.

Totally know the feeling. Feel free to PM if you need to talk. I'm doing pretty well (surprisingly and probably cause we're still talking =/), but I was pretty down the first two days. :hug:

And that's a horrible thing for him to do right before finals. It sucks to get dumped period, but I feel like you should take into consideration someone's final exams, so that was extra horrible of him.

Yeah, I was thinking of you when I posted. I was like, hm, I think it was Orca2011 that this happened to just last week. I have a sneaking suspicion I'm going to be a hot mess this weekend, so we'll see. But honestly, I think we're really going in different directions anyways. He's a poli sci major with no freaking clue what he wants to do with his life. And I obviously have a plan. Plus he would be one of those that everyone's been complaining about. The sit on the couch making a mess doing nothing but insisting he didn't have time to clean. I still love him though, so it sucks. But I can cry after finals.
 
Took the worst final of my undergraduate career tonight. I honestly am just hoping I got the 30% I needed to hang onto my B. The sad part is, I'm not really sure if I did :laugh:.

I've spent the last hour eating ice cream and watching Criminal Minds. I feel a little better, but wow.
 
All I want to do is request copies of my K-State and PSU transcripts for a scholarship I am applying for. Since I'm no longer a student, I have to create special accounts to request them online. I have an account with PSU but I forget my log in information. K-State is asking me to create a whole new account to request my transcript and is asking me deactivate my old (which they deactivated already). I'm trying to do that but that stupid word caption thing they use to make sure you're not a computer trying to get my information is like impossible to read every freakin time and I can't get the stupid thing to work. Oh. And PSU increased their price per transcript. GRRRRRRR. Hence the reason I love my small, liberal arts school. Transcripts are free and all I have to do is send an email.

ETA: Figured out the PSU account.

I can't tell you how many times a boy (usually the same one) has ruined a finals week for me. I guess when it rains it pours. Sorry to hear you are going through this. Each time it happened to me, I tried to use it as motivation for doing the best I could for myself because I can't depend on anyone else. Hopefully you can use it to your advantage, but it is such crappy timing. Do your best! That grade will last forever, he won't 🙁. Not sure if that helps or not, but I'll be thinking about you! :xf::luck:

I thought I was better today, but I haven't really been doing too much today, just some small things with trying to get loans into forebearances, get a passport, etc, etc. Tonight while at dinner and walking through the restaurant I again got the dizzy/lightheaded feeling. I really hope it goes away because I have to work tomorrow and Friday. :xf: I don't actually black out at work and that I can make it until next week for my doctor appointment.

Can't you make an urgent/emergency appointment? Dizzy spells and blacks outs should be able to bump you up.

The people who work at my doctor's office are not the brightest. I love the doctor, hate the staff. They didn't even think twice when I mentioned what was going on.

I would have gone to an urgent care clinic if I hadn't been feeling ok earlier. Now it is too late unless I go to the ER, which I really don't want to do and now I have to work tomorrow and Friday and urgent cares aren't open around here on the weekends so I would again have to go to the ER, which I really don't want to do. I think I will be ok until next week. The appointment is on Tuesday so hopefully nothing gets worse before then.

boys are DUMB! i had an ex break up with me the day after finals ended, but 4 days before both of us graduated AND while i was horribly sick with bronchitis. 😡

i apologize in advance to dsmoody for the blanket statement 😉
