I wish the ignorance towards vegetarians would go away. My coworker picked a fight with me yesterday. He said that according to his biochem book, if I don't get the right combo of amino acids, I'm screwed. And they have to be combined in one meal. Uh. I googled it. According to my search, as long as I eat a variety of foods, they don't necessarily have to be combined. And I'm not picky. Im eating PB and whole wheat as we speak. It's been 9 years. I'm fine. And hey... my risk of heart disease and diabetes is pretty much nonexistent.
I can tolerate people talking about someone's behaviour behind their back. I cannot tolerate gossip. My coworkers asking why my lab manager wore Indian clothing for the staff party was rude. Saying "She's not Indian. She shouldn't be allowed to dress like that. Who wears that to a staff party? She was only in India for a few weeks. She doesnt even know that the clothing means! And the white thing she wore to the orchard tour? Who wears that?!" It was hot that day. White is a cool colour. You wouldn't know because you'd rather dress like skanks outside than wear a long white shirt and pants.
Also... my roommate is weird to you? Thanks for letting me know that... and, oh, she didn't offer you gas money yet? Well, its not MY responsibility to get it from her. Don't complain about the gas situation, then talk about how weird she is, then make a comment on how come she hasn't been driving ME to work (she had just borrowed her moms car... don't know for how long... but she has been staying with her boy toy since getting the car, so how am I supposed to get a ride with her?)
Compare my roommate to the large, pot head, party animal who threw a temper tantrum and made threats when I went to the RA on her, and my roommate is a saint.
Only two more weeks before I am unemployed!
