And I realized I'd gone crazy when I was more worried about my rabbit not pooping than our beach house being destroyed... (literally. She no longer tries as hard to get out.

And we have an airplane crate for our pit who isn't as destructive as my shepherd used to be and she's ruining it. I doubt the plastic would hold up long enough for the shepherd. She tore apart the plastic bottom of her metal crate. Twice. She now sleeps on metal.
 
Pretty sure I'm going to feel like death tomorrow. Yay.
 
My nose is so stuffed up that I can't breathe through it, plus I have a lovely sinus headache.

Everyone in the hurricane's path: stay safe! And if you haven't already, locate a good flashlight to keep with you in case of power outages.
 
I'm still sick. I still have upper resp problems, but they seem to be branching off and colonizing in my chest. Great. I almost threw up this morning because I thought it would be smart to take: tylenol severe cough meds, mucinex, zyrtec, and a multi vitamin.... Woops.

You're not pathetic. You did the right thing, but it was difficult, so you want to go back to when the relationship was making you happy. Nothing pathetic about that.

May I recommend either the dark chocolate and sappy movies route or the candy bars and video games route for feeling better? Both are excellent choices.

My cat was crying at the door to be let outside. I never let her outside when it is dark out. She knows this. So, I shooed her away. 5 minutes later I smell a...telltale smell. My cat left a massive dump on the living room floor. 😡 Seriously, twice the size it should be. Damn cat will not poop in a litterbox! 😡
 
I just looked at the "no longer available" dogs on our shelter website. Tearing up. 🙁
 
Seriously stupid rant, but I'm losing it. I have a lot of crap that got pushed back to the end of this week and it's a serious challenge to study for two major exams plus a quiz plus write a big lab report with no power/internet. I need some real food and sleep. I usually sleep with a noise maker to block out background noise and obviously can't use it since there's no power. I couldn't stay asleep last night because my dad's snoring kept waking me. Like to the point that I was so tired that in half sleep land I was crying because I was so frustrated and then woke up crying. Finally fell asleep when the snoring mostly stopped only to be woken up by my mom getting up at 4am to get ready for work. Finally fell asleep after everyone left the house at 7 and then my dad came home at 8, decided to wake me up just to tell me he was home. Then he woke me up 10 minutes later to say goodbye when he was leaving again.
I proceeded to go to physics lab this morning where my TA has his panties all in a bunch because some of the students complained that we weren't having time to finish the labs. He has been lecturing too much at the beginning and then not grading accordingly when we couldn't finish. So in light of this he decided to not explain the lab at all. No one could figure out how to do the lab, I kept trying to ask him questions, but he informed that that I needed "to find better questions to get better answers". We also are the first lab of the week which means we haven't gone over the info in lectures. He also was trying to tell me that we needed to do some calculus derivative thing to find the answer to something. When I said, oh, I haven't done that in a while... He goes "Seriously? I can't do basic algebra for you, why are you even here?" I have really had enough and I'm going to go talk to the prof about it soon.

I used to be the same way until I invested in a pair of industrial ear plugs. They have changed my sleeping life forever! I used to live on a really busy corner lot with dogs barking next door and my husband snoring through it all, and I couldn't hear any of it. I thought I would hate having something in my ears all night, but if you get the good kind (not just the foam ones) and cut off the end so it's level to your ear you won't even notice them after a night or two. Seriously....worth every penny and made me wonder why the heck I didn't think of this earlier.

And better sleep for me means I am way better at handling pressure and anything bad that comes up.

My problem with earplugs is that I need to be able to hear my alarm clock to wake up. :laugh:

Exactly. My animals wake me up every morning with all their noisiness but I am afraid that I won't hear my alarm clock if I wear ear plugs.
 
I made a sandwich last night for lunch today but I forgot it when I packed up my lunch this morning. Of course I didn't realize this until I sat down to eat.

Yes, stay strong!! The pain of letting him go and the occasional loneliness of being single is far better than being in a relationship with someone who's not right for you. How much would it suck if the right person came along and you were tied up with someone sub-par?

:laugh: It's a non-issue thus far. My alarm is the kind that gets louder and louder until I turn it off, which is great on the days it takes me a minute to figure out that I'm not dreaming. But I haven't gotten up late yet over the last couple years of using them (and I am NOT a morning person).

15 PPTs, 20 something lectures
plus two penis articles and a dystocia website.
All in a one hour exam. Too much infooooooooo. I dont even know where to start. I just keep opening powerpoints and closing them again without making it to the end.
 
geez, lighten up. We're watching, aren't we? The World Cup has been a wonderful showcase of your country and your people, and of course people are going to tease about those horns, which took a lot of getting used to.

I have to force myself to start studying for the GRE. It's my only shot at getting an interview this round.

The thing is, I am so flipping tired all of the time. I'm not exaggerating when I say all of the time. I am too exhausted to do much when I get home from work. When I sleep an extra hour on the weekends, I still feel like I need a nap by mid-afternoon.

I have a doctors appointment on the 17th. I have no idea what he can do for me being tired all of the time and not being able to concentrate when studying. Most other people blame it on me being lazy when I try to tell them how I've been feeling.

I'm sick of this 🙁
I want to go back to school in the fall to retake some courses but I don't know if my body will let me give it my all. My concentration issues and tiredness killed me last semester.
 
We should work out something to study together online. I need to take it too in the next year. Preferably twice.
 
Today in toxicology we had to watch multiple videos where dogs were puposefully poisoned and allowed to go through the full range of terrible symptoms just before reviving them. The last one died, I think, but he turned it off before it ended. Then there was one with convulsing piglets and they're showing minutes of feed of piggy convulsions while playing this stupid happy music in the background. I know that stuff was done but we don't need to see it to understand that OP causes progressively worsening CNS signs 😡🙁

They show us videos like that all the time. They all look like they were made in the 60s. Last year in virology they made us watch a human progress through rabies infection. If I ever get rabies, someone kill me before I get too bad.

Day #3 with not really being able to get deep breaths. I literally draw in no air when yawning, none at all, but my body seems to want to keep yawning. I am better off taking shallow, quick breaths. I am exhausted. 🙁

Have you looked into taking anxiety meds? You've been going through so much lately, the breathing issues could be just anxiety. (you don't always feels anxious with anxiety attacks, but your body does react)

I think that was a big part with my breathing problems. The chemicals and dry wall dust made it worse, but I think the big thing was anxiety.
 
Anyone here attending Purdue West Lafayette Vet School? If so, was it difficult to be accepted?

Mine didn't translate into breathing issues per se. I seriously thought I was having a heart attack the first time. But yeah, I totally didn't feel overly anxious about anything (until I thought I was having a heart attack lol)
 
My bank was bought by BB&T last month so I had to get all new account numbers and a new card. New card came... couldn't activate it because they screwed up the pin. So they sent me a new pin to my address on file (my parent's house) bc they couldn't give it over the phone blah blah blah. Anyway... finally got the pin 10 days later 😡 and it won't frickin work AGAIN! So I've been on hold for 20 minutes. I hate when people screw things up. If I have to wait for another damn pin I am NOT gonna be a happy little girl :annoyed:

Edit: Apparently the system doesn't like my card so he cancelled it and sent me a new one... so I wait... again :smack:
However, to the company's credit, their customer service reps are all very awesome with southern accents and I want them to make me pie.
