I feel like I'm a pre-vet again. We've been doing great on the mortgage stuff and we are supposed to close on the house tomorrow. Today, they sprung on me that they still need the husband's employment verification which we thought they had done weeks ago. He recently went from a temp agency to full time. So I've been scrambling to send in paperwork last minute in hopes that we can still close tomorrow (my day off). Now the admission's office mortgage consultant hasn't gotten back to me and I feel like if I keep calling/emailing it might be a little bit of harassment.

I've come to the conclusion that adulthood is seriously overrated. It just never ends :smack:

Yeah that tends to f*** you up real good in the head. Thanks to cheater ex, I have to work really hard to suppress the "omg it's 3pm he should be at work and at his computer, why is he not on gchat!?!? maybe he's cheating on me!" feelings sometimes.
 
Well guys see college years as time to sleep arround and get with as many girls as possible so you cant blame them..

I'm so angry I'm shaking. Former roommate came to "clean" her room and bathroom today. She got her friend to vacuum and removed the half filled cup of 2 week old coffee. That's all the cleaning they did. She wanted me to come home from a dinner I had planned for 3 weeks to do the walk through. I said no, she's had my schedule for 2 weeks now and has already not shown up once. She says the bathroom is clean (the s**t ring in the toilet says otherwise) and she is refusing to give me money she owes me because the other roommate owes her 10$. You can't keep 50$ from one person because someone else owes you 10$. That makes no sense. Also she still hasn't given our classmates the pizza and beer she promised them for helping her move. And they even came back to help her with a futon and she got mad at them because they came at noon instead of later. It's the middle of exams, you still haven't paid them for helping before, they're being nice and you're angry with them? Why are you so difficult and crazy? :boom:

I am so stupid. I'm supposed to be meeting my boss tomorrow morning to redo the paperwork for my job, and need my green card and SS card to fill everything out... I just spent the last three hours combing through my room and house after not finding it in its typical place. After I was pretty sure it wasn't in my house, I called my mother and lo and behold, both are at my parents' house from our international vacation this summer.

They live three hours away... so I have to send a midnight email to my boss telling her I suck and can't meet her tomorrow, can I please reschedule for Monday?

Why in the world did I not double check my paperwork a WEEK ago when we set this meeting time? 👎

Well ye I am saying that, men and women are different so it makes no sense to treat their actions the same. Men have a muuuuch greater sex drive. Its hard for me to describe to you how much a hot blond can turn a guy on. Its all about the physiology. Evolution made guys want to sleep arround a lot and not get commited, whilst it made women want to settle down and stay with 1 guy for protection and kid raising etc. Cant deny evolution unless your a crazy christian that believes in adam and eve 😀

:laugh: Get a little more life experience mayhaps? These old stereotypes fly right out the window when you actually live it. Haha! I know plenty of (young) men that want to settle down and plenty of women sluttin it up because they just want to have fun. And in my experience, no, men do NOT always have a higher sex drive. Bahahahaha

There are plenty of men out there who sleep around and cheat and blah blah blah but there are also plenty out there who actually want a committed relationship. I'm of the opinion that sleezeballs can be sleezeballs as long as they're up front about it.

Personally I don't agree with the sleeping around thing but who am I to say that someone is wrong for living their life that way? I just choose not to be a part of it (well, I'm married now so obviously I don't date anymore but when I was dating I made a choice not to date that type of man :laugh:).

Somewhere I read they just did a study and college guys were *not* actually that interested in sexing up random things each weekend. The average partying college male had 3-5 partners a year, on par with the average college girl. But both expressed interest in a relationship rather than anonymous hookups on average.

And yeah, that evolution crap don't fly any more.

She is claiming that she spent 225$ in gas just driving to school...it's a 3 mile round trip, 5 days a week over 14 weeks. 14 x 15= 210 miles. Gas here is 1.35 /L (that's the highest it has been since we've lived here) about 5.4/gallon. Even if her car gets 10 miles a gallon that's 113.4$ for the semester (21 gallons x 5.4$), divide that by 3 that's 37.8$ not 75$ each she is asking for. She has no receipts to back up her claims and she said we're cheaping out on her. I have classmates who drive 2x as far to and from school everyday who say they spend 35$ at most per month in gas. Arghhh! Some people's children 😡

She drove to and from school. We wanted to save money so the three of us carpooled and split the cost of a parking pass and gas. No matter now because I showed her irrefutable proof that what she was asking was too much and her 2 best friends agreed with me. Plus neither of us asked for a portion of the parking pass money back (it's a year pass). She pretty much had to let it go at that point. I'm officially done dealing with her, so happy!

Ah, hell. The curse of my 3 year graduation plan is having so few GPA hours still as a senior (53 out of 100 total credits), every credit still influences it a lot. Got my first C in Biochemistry (3 hour credit) and missed getting an A in Microbiology by like 4 points on the final exam (5 hour credit). Got an A in my other 3 hour class at least, but it was still enough to knock my GPA from a 3.69 to a 3.54 :lame:

Why do schools place SUCH an emphasis on large animal experience? I have every other type of experience with the exception of equine/food animal. I understand that the food animal sector is an 'area of need', but so is public health. Why isn't my extensive public health experience viewed favorably in comparison to others who lack similar hours, when my application is looked down upon for lacking in LA hours 😡 I live in an area that such hours and opportunities are hard to come by, and most vets whom I have contacted (borderline harassed..) are reluctant to help me out due to availability and liability issues. I have specifically stated that I am not interested in working with 'farm animals' but it seems as if my shortcomings in that area are the black hole in my app. Ranting complete 👎

I am having such a hard time focusing. My last final is tomorrow and I've hardly studied for it 🙁 I keep getting distracted by admissions worries and daydreaming about my summer trip to paris. I'm hoping that getting some dinner and heading to the library will help, but who knows...

My rant: I have a massive headache and I think I'm getting sick. And of course this next week is going to be crazy. I have a botany final tomorrow, work 8-1 Sat then immediately drive to the airport to fly to Ohio for my interview. Dinner for OSU Sun night, interview stuff Monday, then fly home Tues AM to be back at work from 2-7. Zoo Wed morning, study the rest of the day Wed then Jazz and Physics finals on Thursday. I just hope I survive flying makes me feel like I'm dying anyways.

Drink some tea. And if you kind of like it, drink lots of it. Even if you do end up with a cold, it way shortens it. And don't worry about not feeling quite up to par for your interview, just be yourself regardless. I had my Purdue interview when I couldn't hear out of one ear and it hurt like crazy. (Slight sinus congestion and then a plane ride can do that). You can do it, and do well. We all believe in you and are rooting for you.

It's horrible. I couldn't imagine something like that happening to my little brother. I feel so bad for the families :cry:
 
So I heard that and then almost ended up in three different car accidents. People apparently thought it was the day to just turn left in front of me. I mean really? I had the right of way (either no intersection or a green light) every time. I just want to go to sleep now and wake up on a better day.
